**CAUTION ADVISED** After getting an email about our flight being cancelled, we decided to call Air France for clarification. However, to our shock, we ended up speaking with a dodgy outfit posing as them. They informed us that our flight was indeed cancelled and insisted that we needed to shell out an additional £285 each in taxes to book a new one. Trusting their word, we went ahead and paid up, convinced we were speaking to the actual airline. Fast forward a bit, and we reached out to Air France directly, only to be told that the cancellation email was an absolute hoax and our flight was very much still on. They had no record of us making any extra payment either. It was all nothing but a scam!
