On 10th July 2024, I got a call on my mobile from this number. The person on the other end sounded like a foreign bloke, said he was from (I reckon) O2, and his English was pretty hard to understand. This isn't the first time I've had calls like this lately. I've tried chatting with these callers, male and female, to find out who they really are and what they want, but their awful English makes it pointless. So yesterday, I told the guy off in plain English and then ended the call. The same number called me again today, but I just ignored it.

They said I could save 40% on my phone bill if I gave them some info. I told them I’d just make something up on the spot and started rattling off random stuff from my room. Then, suddenly, they asked for my bank details. Obviously, I hung up!

Got a call claiming to be from O2 offering a 40% discount on my current contract. When I asked how much my monthly bill was, the person just ignored me. Then they said the info was on my screen, which didn’t make sense. They promised to send an email with the details and wanted me to click a link, but I refused. The call ended suddenly and I never got any email. Definitely a scam!

Received a call claiming they were offering me a promotion from O2, but I've got a bit of a knack for being cautious with these sorts of things. I ended up hanging up without a second thought! I’ve got a feeling they were about to dive into questions about my bank details or something dodgy like that.

I got a call from someone with an Indian accent saying they were with O2 and had a 40% discount on plans. She mentioned I’d get a couple of texts - the first one had a security code that I was supposed to enter when replying to the second text.

Got a call from someone claiming to be O2, offering a 40% discount on my mobile bill without any contract changes... I'm not even with O2, so definitely SPAM.

I swear the lot working at O2 are dodgy, their entire system is messed up. I got texts off what looked like official O2 numbers with people claiming to be O2 staff asking me to give them codes from the message. But the text itself clearly said not to share the code with anyone, not even O2 employees. Absolute rubbish.

Got a call from someone with a foreign accent claiming they could give me 40% off on O2 contracts. Thing is, I don’t even have O2. Obviously, I’m pretty sure this was a scam.
