i sometimes pick up and when they say i’ve been in an accident i just ask if it was the porsche, the formula 1, the speedboat or maybe the light aircraft, they hang up quick enough. its nuts how they just assume everyone they ring must have been in a crash recently. my best bit is when they read from their worn out cards, i go “and you’re askin a police officer this?” or “you’re askin a fast response driver these silly questions?” they cut off sharpish. then i get to block em which is a bonus. give it a go, it actually works haha!

Cos it makes them money and hardly anyone reports it, so they think it’s risk free. But really, reporting is super quick and simple - no sign-up needed. Just google "action fraud", click the 'police.uk' site, hit the 'reporting' button, choose the phishing report option from the dropdown, then scroll past the scam email stuff to get started. Stay alert everyone and please report anything fishy, it helps protect us all.
