I can't help but wonder why the authorities aren't alerted when internet scammers are placing such large orders under my name! The whole situation was further compounded by the fact that the person on the call spoke in a rather ridiculous tone, making it hard for me to understand the context regarding my Amazon account. It absolutely set off my alarm bells. In a flash of inspiration, I pretended to be a police officer, and just like that, the line went dead! What made things even sketchier was the person on the other end - speaking in this ridiculous tone and totally missing the point when I asked for clarification. It honestly felt like a trap. I could practically smell the deceit! In a moment of intuition, I told them I was with the police, and just like that, the line went cold. Ha!
