Got a call on my mobile from someone saying they were with telephone preference services. They asked if I was still getting annoying calls. I said yes, like this one. Told them it shouldn’t be allowed with new rules now. They asked to confirm my name, which they already had, and my address too. Then they started asking about my bank details, saying I pay my phone bill by direct debit and wanted my PIN. I instantly said do you really think I’d give out bank info like that? The guy, who sounded foreign, politely said it’s his loss and wished me a good day before hanging up.

Some guy from abroad called me and actually knew my name, asked if I was still getting annoying calls. When I said, “You mean like this one right now?” he just hung up on me. Saw some other comments and it looks like they keep doing the same trick over and over, hoping someone falls for it. Proper shameful, they should really be taken to court for this.

I received a call from an individual with an Indian accent who miraculously knew my name and claimed to represent the Telephone Preference Service. He inquired whether I was still receiving bothersome calls. The peculiar thing was that he decided to dial my work phone. When I pointed this out, he promised to investigate and get back to me. An overseas woman rang my elderly mother, who's 84, inquiring about how she was managing to block certain numbers on her landline. Strangely, she then prodded my mum for her bank card details, specifically the expiry date. Thankfully, my mother found the whole thing quite suspicious and refused to comply. The caller kept pressing for an explanation, sounding rather irate, before abruptly cutting the conversation short!

AVOID THESE CHARACTERS AT ALL COSTS! Today, they rang up my 82-year-old mum under the pretence of helping her stop nuisance calls on her phone. They demanded a staggering £120 upfront payment and even disclosed some details from her bank card, which understandably frightened her to bits. They wouldn’t take no for an answer and ended up leaving her quite distressed. After she unwittingly provided them with my number, they called me right after. Despite my clear disinterest, they kept pushing for a response. I eventually had to hang up, and we promptly cancelled her bank card to ensure her peace of mind.

On 24th July 2018 I got a call askin if I wanted to block all annoying calls forever. They then asked if I pay by direct debit and asked for the expiry date on my card. When I asked why, they just ended the call. The bloke had an Indian accent.
