8 yearsReceived a dodgy call from someone claiming to be from an Indian tech support, insisting that my computer was compromised. They were eager to sell me their so-called repair service. Absolute nonsense! I've since blocked their number!11 yearsI just had a rather suspicious phone call from someone claiming to represent TalkTalk. They insisted that my computer was continuously downloading a virus, and the chap on the other end had a distinctly Indian accent. It all felt rather dodgy, so I challenged them and requested a callback number, which they duly provided. I’m certainly not falling for this one!TalkTalk11 yearsCAUTION ADVISED I received a call from this number, with the individual claiming to be from my internet service provider, insisting they needed to sort out an issue with my computer. I told them I’d check and call back. After that, I rang my actual broadband provider (using another phone), only to find out that they hadn’t reached out to me at all. Interestingly, someone else mentioned on another forum from the 26th of January that they had also conversed with these folks and ended up losing funds from their bank account. Be careful!CAUTION ADVISED11 yearsThis morning, my phone rang three times from someone claiming to be my internet provider. They insisted there were serious security issues with my connection and that my computer was compromised. When I asked for proof of their identity, they just repeated the same number for me to call back. I chose not to ring them, instead using a different phone to contact my actual internet provider. They assured me they had no records of reaching out to me at all. It's high time something is done to shut these scammers down. - caller: Impersonated broadband provider11 yearsI’ve been receiving some dubious calls from this number, and it appears that they’ve managed to infiltrate my landline and internet connection.
