I’m quite alarmed to report that this number has been repeatedly calling my elderly mother’s landline, inquiring about computers. Keep in mind, she’s 80 years old and wouldn’t even have the faintest idea about operating one! It feels like a scam designed to fish for her personal information. British Telecom really ought to take this matter seriously. Furthermore, my mother’s number is ex-directory-so how on earth are they managing to obtain it?

I had an early morning call today around half past seven from a chap with an Indian or Pakistani accent, claiming there was an issue with my computer. I couldn't help but chuckle and asked him, "Which computer are you on about?" He proceeded to insist it was my Windows or Mac device. I informed him there was no computer linked to this number. He then requested to speak to the owner, to which I cheekily replied that would be British Telecommunications. It was quite amusing when he suddenly ended the call!

I keep getting calls from this number, but as soon as I pick up, it goes completely quiet! So strange!

I received a call from a chap with a very posh British accent who claimed there was an issue with my Windows system. When I mentioned I didn't have any internet connectivity, he abruptly hung up. I tried to ring this number back, but no one picked up; instead, I could hear a cacophony of foreign chatter in the background. It felt like I had unwittingly connected with some sort of call centre. It soon dawned on me that I had encountered a scam!

It appears that certain individuals are masquerading as representatives of Microsoft and are attempting to pull off that old computer scam associated with the company.
