020 3962 1777 and 020 3962 2255 kept ringing me yesterday and today at the same time. It was some robotic voice with an American accent saying it was HMRC. They told me I had to call back and speak with a Julie Wilson immediately or my solicitor had to, or else I’d be in big trouble legally. They finished with “have a nice day, take care!” I’ve reported these numbers to HMRC and flagged them on social media as well. Both numbers blocked from now on!

Today, I received a rather alarming phone call claiming that a warrant for my arrest had been issued. It genuinely shook me to my core! I decided to look up the number and called them back to confront them, letting them know I was aware it was a scam. Their rudeness was astonishing! Does anyone have any tips on how I can prevent such calls from bothering me again?

Received a couple of calls from the same number on my mum's home line, and it really rattled her since she's not very tech-savvy. She’s elderly, and it's utterly distressing for her. I'm tempted to follow suit and pretend to be a police officer dealing with fraud if they ring again. Apparently, that tactic worked for someone else and shut them up for good! Honestly, these lowlifes should be behind bars for pretending to represent HMRC and causing such unnecessary fear in vulnerable people. What a disgrace!

I rang a business number today, then called back to check who it was and they said they were from HMRC. When I asked what it was about, they tried to get me to give loads of personal details. When I questioned why they needed that info, they just ended the call. Never share your personal details with unknown callers!

I've been getting persistent calls from 02031293857 on our unlisted number, and they're leaving ominous voicemails that hint at legal repercussions if we fail to reply. I've already contacted the Wiltshire police about this, and they've suggested that I bring it to your attention as well. My worry is that those who are more vulnerable might fall for this trickery. I received a similar call not too long ago. When I called back, an Indian gentleman named Alex Mahoney informed me that I had some unpaid taxes. I stayed on the line for about ten minutes, but then I decided to check this website only to find out I was far from alone in this situation, so I hung up. It dawned on me that this was a dodgy operation when they decided to ring me at half past eight on a Saturday morning-surely the tax office doesn’t operate at those hours! It could genuinely frighten some individuals, which is concerning. What I find troubling is the prospect of anyone ringing them back; would they end up raking in profits from that? If there’s no financial gain for them, then what on earth is the rationale behind making such calls?

They rang me saying I owed £4000 in taxes and went on forever. Told me I'd be in court in 2 hours, that if I didn’t have a lawyer I'd be arrested, and they’d publish my fraud details in the local paper. Then he just cut off. Honestly, it was quite funny to me because his English was dreadful, but I do understand why people who are more vulnerable might panic. The police and HMRC really need to sort this out.

Got two calls from this number within fifteen minutes. The first time, they left a message on my answer machine, so i tried calling them back but all i got was a voice saying “This number can’t be reached” or something like that.

I rang my wife when I was out and nearly gave her a right fright. She’s 72 and a pensioner, poor thing. Honestly, hope all their kids look like they’re walking backwards or something!

Utterly misleading! Best to steer clear of this annoying number. They'll tire of it sooner or later!

Received a call today at 11:20 AM at my residence, where the caller menacingly warned me of potential imprisonment should I fail to settle my tax obligations.

I received a dodgy call urging me to ring them back, yet they haven’t even a clue who I am!

I received a rather concerning voicemail where the caller intimated they might pursue legal action regarding an issue. It sounds rather serious and could potentially escalate to court proceedings.

They’re totally dodgy and the coppers really need to stop faffing about and actually sort it out.

Somebody or something rang my 91 year old dad saying he's got legal trouble or something. He just lost his wife and is really delicate right now.

Got a call earlier, some robotic female voice telling me to contact my solicitor about HMRC and tax issues or something like that. Just put them straight onto the block list.

02031297697 - Honestly, I’m fed up with rushing to pick up my landline just for it to be a scam call. There’s this woman robot voice telling me to contact a solicitor or else, sometimes pretending to be from the Tax office. I’m 76 and don’t need all this hassle, really.

Utterly fraudulent! Honestly, just let them expend their efforts. If everyone took this approach, they might finally quit their incessant calling.

This number rang me earlier today 13/10/2017, yeah I know it's Friday the 13th. Honestly, these folks should find legit work. Hope they end up facing consequences for their actions. It’s really concerning for older people who might believe them and end up getting scammed. Someone needs to put a full stop to these morons pronto!

There’s this prank app out there where folks can pretend to be from HMRC and demand tax money. It’s terrible since there are already loads of genuine HMRC scams going around. The people who create and use these apps are just as awful as the scammers themselves. I’ve also come across other prank calls where some bloke whines about you nicking his wifi or seeing his missus or partner - proper annoying stuff.

Phishing scams are getting worse, someone really needs to step in. Ofcom isn't doing much as usual, and these scams are a proper headache. It's hard to tell when a call is actually genuine. Plus they claimed to be from HMRC, which surely shouldn’t be allowed - using the Crown to scam people is just wrong.

Received a couple of messages from this number today, insisting that either myself or my solicitor should get in touch with them. Quite puzzling!

I've received seven calls over the past three days. Is there any chance someone could put an end to this?

These idiots have rung me 5 times today, blocked their number but they still manage to get through. Left the same message like people mentioned above. Pretty sure it’s a scam. I've reported it to the cops.

Today at half past eleven on the 12th of October, 2017, I was at my disabled client’s home when she received a rather alarming phone call. Fortunately, I was there to act swiftly and looked up the number immediately, revealing it to be a scam. The caller, a woman, delivered a pre-recorded message warning that failing to answer or return the call could lead to hefty fines and court proceedings, suggesting she urgently needed a solicitor. This has left my client quite shaken, and despite my efforts to reassure her with the findings from my search, she is still anxious and contemplating contacting the number for clarification. It’s utterly disgraceful how these scammers operate.

Got the same call as before. They said it’s urgent and that me or my lawyer has to respond or else legal stuff will happen. Totally a scam for sure. Honestly think the police ought to step in because these calls are pretty scary and threatening. Best not to answer and block the number if u can.

They claimed to be from HMRC, when I rang back they said there’s a warrant out for my arrest because of unpaid tax. Total scam, best to just ignore it.
