Then they tried to get my bank details, like sort code and account number. I told them I wasn’t comfortable giving that info over the phone!! I said I believed it was a scam and I would be reporting the call!!

A caller reached out to inform me that there was some money awaiting me from a PPI reimbursement. They had my personal details, including my name and address, and requested my bank account information to process the payment. I asked them to clarify the origins of the funds, specifically which claim I had filed. They couldn't provide any details. When I inquired about the name of their company, they mentioned (if I recall correctly) something like ‘Canaryclaim’. I decided against sharing any of my banking info and politely wished them farewell. Just three minutes later, they attempted to ring me again but didn’t leave a message on my voicemail. Upon trying to return their call, I was greeted by an automated BT message stating that the number was unrecognised. You can draw your own conclusions, but mine certainly leans towards the negative.

I've received a barrage of four back-to-back calls, and each time I answered, all I got was dead air. Initially, I assumed it was debt collectors hounding me, given my recent redundancy and the fact that I'm behind on a few bills. Frankly, I was gearing up to report them for harassment, as I read that under GCA regulations, they aren't supposed to act in such a manner.

However, after reading what others have shared, it seems these calls might be from an Indian gentleman or a robotic voice droning on about PPI claims. Perhaps it’s for the best that they left me in silence, eh? Quite the turn of events!

When I questioned the necessity of that information, he pressed on, prompting me to disclose how much I pay monthly. I firmly told him the NHS shouldn't require that, yet he continued to push. Eventually, I said I would like to cancel the call and was met with another ring almost immediately, with him still pursuing details regarding my premium. I suggested that they send me a letter, and I'd complete a form to verify it's proper. Despite his arguments, I ended the call. There's definitely something dodgy going on with these numbers - they appear to be connected to a scheme to gather private information.

I got a call from a mobile number earlier about reaching out to homeowners, but the line was so choppy. After asking them a few times to repeat themselves and hearing nothing back, I just ended the call. The number was 0787940063. Shortly after that, another unknown number called me. I got a call from 02031293754, and the person on the line, speaking with an Indian accent, told me they were sending some kind of BC payment to my bank regarding a mortgage POI I'm actually expecting. Bit weird but seems legit since I’m waiting for that payment.

This number rang me again today, second time now. A woman with an Asian accent said she was from a company called Scanary Claims and they supposedly deal with PPI on mortgages or loans. She was pushing me to give her my bank info.

Contacted by a company claiming they can get me £2,900 back from old loans and mortgages. They immediately wanted my bank details and account number. Looks dodgy to me.
