Got a call from someone claiming to be HMRC, trying to scare me by threatening police and arrests, asking for my personal info. Total scam!

completely fake call! the guy was so rude! when i picked up there was awful music blasting, i kept saying hello but no reply until i raised my voice telling them to take me off their list. then an asian bloke finally said excuse me so i repeated what i said. he then claimed he’d never called me before. i called him out on that because i’ve got loads of missed calls with voicemail full of just the same music i heard when i answered this time.

Today I got a call from someone saying they’d heard I’d been in a car crash. When I asked where they were calling from, they just put me on hold instead of answering. Once they returned, I asked how they got my phone number and then they just ended the call on me. These sorts of companies defo need looking into and some proper action should be taken because it’s obvious they’re not playing by the rules!
