I keep getting calls from this number about once a week, and no matter how many times I ask them to stop, they just won't quit. Pretty sure it's one of those dodgy health scams.

Some bloke claimed to be from Microsoft, telling me my computer had issues. I wasn’t convinced but told him to go on. Out of nowhere, he shouted, “You won’t believe a thing, so buzz off, buzz off,” and called me a waste of time before hanging up. Didn’t even get to tell him he was nothing but a common con artist and that his mum would be really disappointed in him - my usual reply. Pretty obvious it was a scam.

Seems like they were probably pressing the wrong numbers. The place sounded like a shop, but I couldn’t quite make out what it was called.

My elderly mother, who is in her eighties, received a rather dubious phone call on Friday. The caller inquired about her well-being, and she might have mentioned that her back was causing her some bother. They then made a remark about the health department dispatching some tablets that would supposedly have her feeling right as rain in eight weeks. After that, they cheekily requested her bank details, snatching away around £280 from her account. Concerned, she promptly contacted her bank for help, only to be advised to ring the company back. Alas, it turned out to be a scam number, which my mother sadly discovered the hard way.

Received a call from someone purporting to be from BT's cyber security team, stating that my broadband is under threat from hacking attempts.
