I’m annoyed cos I only recently got this number and purposely kept it ex-directory to dodge this kind of rubbish! Especially PPR calls, they’re nothing compared to this. Don’t, under any circumstance, press any buttons on your phone when they call. If HMRC have a problem with you, they ain’t gonna ring up with warnings like this, they’ll come down hard.

Got a call earlier today from a bloke with a posh voice on a recording saying HMRC was suing me (didn’t even say if they meant me or my hubby) and told me to press 1 to talk to my case officer. Figured it was a scam but dumbly pressed 1 just to see what would happen. I got an answerphone saying ‘leave a message’ so I just hung up. Now I’m a bit worried if pressing 1 did anything dodgy? I quickly rang HMRC and they said they’d never phone anyone like that.

I got a voicemail from this number (02030007596) claiming HMRC wanted to talk to me about being prosecuted. When I called back, some bloke with an Indian accent answered and said he was Investigator Jim Cook! I told him straight up he wasn’t with HMRC and this was a total scam. I warned Jim not to call me again since I’m reporting him to the police. After that, Jim Cook quickly ended the call. Honestly, with my wife unwell and a teenage lad still at school, I’m glad I was in when this conman called.

This person has been ringing me around three times every day since the 5th of May. I've contacted the police and my phone company, but all they tell me is to sign up with tpsonline[###][###]. Got a call from someone saying they were from HMRC, but it was obvious a scam. I reckon the number might be a premium reverse charge one. Didn’t bother ringing them back, of course.

Got a voicemail saying it was HMRC telling me to ring back on a certain number or get my lawyer involved before they take legal action. Honestly, this kind of thing would really scare older folks.

Today I got a couple of voicemail messages from this number saying they were Officer Heather Grey from HMRC. The message sounded pretty threatening and said I or my solicitor should get back to them straight away or there’d be consequences. After seeing what others have said here, I figured it’s best to just leave it alone!

Got a voicemail from someone claiming to be HMRC, asking for Heather Gray - who doesn't even live at this address! They were threatening some kind of legal trouble. I can imagine how scary this would be for older people.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from HM Revenue & Customs, warning that I might face prosecution if I didn’t call them back. Felt like a scam to me, probably trying to get me to ring a premium rate number. Decided not to bother calling them back at all.
