Got a call from some woman saying she’s from Microsoft about my PC. Told her she was lying and just ended the call. Complete scammer, watch out!

Got a call first thing this morning around 8:20, some bloke claiming to be from Microsoft. I told the guy, with a heavy accent, that he was a total scammer and wasn’t having it. Blocked the number straight away. Tried calling back just for a laugh, but the line wouldn’t go through - guess they couldn’t handle a bit of cheek from me!

Claimed to be from Microsoft, this chap insisted that he’d been trying to reach me via my computer with messages I’d somehow ignored-though I haven't received a single one. According to him, my device was crawling with viruses, and he needed access to my personal details to sort it all out. Mind you, my computer runs smoothly and I've got solid virus protection in place! He wouldn’t take no for an answer, urging me to heed his advice. I firmly declined and hung up. Quite worrying, to say the least!

I picked up the phone and the caller just hung up without saying anything. The number’s not even in any directory, so it’s gotta be a scam.

I got a call from 020 3380 6389, and the lady on the line said there was a warrant out for my arrest due to tax evasion. She asked for my name first. Pretty sure it was an Indian woman. Took me by surprise, but I knew it was a scam straight away!

My phone buzzed but I missed it before the answerphone kicked in, and there was no message left. Figured it might be a dodgy call so I looked it up here. Glad I did since loads of others had already checked the same number. Seems pretty clear it’s probably a scam trying to ring me.

Got a call from a lady with an Indian accent claiming she was from Amazon. She said I or someone in my family bought an iPhone 7 for $399. Why would I pay in dollars anyway? She told me my IP address had been hacked and that she was calling to let me know and give me a refund. I cut the call, but then she rang back to ask why I’d hung up.

I got this too! Heard an automated voice saying my Amazon Prime subscription needs renewing soon. Bit odd since I literally just renewed it. They wanted me to press one to talk to an account rep. Been quite annoying, they've called me six times today already - all on my mobile.

Upon receiving a call from this number, I was greeted by a pre-recorded message that insisted my internet would be terminated in a mere four hours owing to a supposed router issue. It went on to suggest that I press 1 to connect with my Internet Service Provider, all the while failing to disclose either the caller’s identity or the name of the Internet Service Provider. This clearly reeks of a scam, so do tread carefully!

I received a call from someone claiming to be from Amazon, insisting I had overpaid and that they needed to send me a message to process my refund. Surprisingly, they were unfamiliar with the Telephone Preference Service, and I thought it rather odd that they had my name and phone number but couldn't be bothered to get my surname or simply ring me. When I suggested to the ‘Manager’ that she should look into the TPS, her response was rather rude; she told me to “sod off, madam,” before abruptly ending the call. Quite shocking behaviour, if you ask me!

I got a call from an Indian lady using the number 02031293380, saying she was from Visa Debit. She wanted me to log in so she could explain how to secure my IP number. Totally a scam! I already keep my personal details safe, so I didn’t fall for it.

I received a call from a certain internet service provider-who didn't bother to identify themselves. There was a lengthy pause before I could hear the usual background chatter typical of an office environment. When I brought up the issue of telephone preference notices, the response I got was a rather dismissive, “Good one.” Quite frankly, the only joke here is the incessant nature of these calls. As I’ve pointed out previously, it’s best to keep personal information to yourself.

Got a call earlier from what sounded like a scam, I answered but the bloke didn’t notice I was on and kept running his dodgy spiel, so I just hung up. Then about an hour afterwards, I got another call from the same number and just let it ring out. Best not to share anything with those scammers, they’re only after your info.

They've rung me twice more, only to hang up again. This sort of behaviour ought to be against the law! I'm registered with the telephone preference service and I'll definitely be lodging a complaint about it!

This lot had the audacity to ring me up, insisting they're a business I supposedly reached out to for information online. I must clarify that I only ever share my personal details with reputable firms that I trust, and I’ve no clue how they’ve managed to pry my info. This was the second call after I’d already told them, quite firmly, to scrub my details from their records and not to contact me ever again. I ended up losing my temper during this latest call and hung up in frustration. It seems they’re under the impression that I’m keen on their dubious online trading schemes-mostly stock trading nonsense. If I’m not mistaken, I reckon they’re based in Dubai.
