Classic Microsoft scam call. They somehow had my name without me giving it. I asked them to say what address they had for me. They gave some random place I’ve never been and I told them that. The guy said he’d block all the PCs there. I just said “Go ahead, that’s not where I am,” then ended the call.

I received a rather peculiar phone call from a gentleman with an Indian accent, purporting to be from BT. He informed me that there were nefarious individuals attempting to exploit my IP address. While I was sat at my computer, he transferred me to another chap, a so-called technician. When I asked how I could verify his affiliation with BT, he instructed me to ring 02031293274 for confirmation. He identified himself as Nick Shaw and provided an employment ID that sounded a bit suspicious, ec583095858587. He then urged me to look for something called a validator online. I must admit, I'm rather sceptical about the whole affair. Has anyone else had similar experiences?

Some bloke called saying my wifi was hacked and tried to get me to download some dodgy software. I looked up the website and found out it was a total scam, told him about it. He then gave me a number to "verify" him, but when I checked that too, it was a scam as well. The guy got really rude and threatened to cut off my internet. Proper shady behaviour.

I've been inundated with calls on a daily basis. Half the time, there's no one on the line, and when there is, it's often just a mix of utter nonsense. Just today, my wife had a bit of a word with one of the callers, asking them to cease their incessant ringing. Their response? Today, I received a rather vexing call from a young woman of Asian descent. She appeared quite agitated and was insistent on speaking to the proprietor regarding a financial issue. She introduced herself as Christine-humorous, isn't it? There’s a Christine Wong I know, a brilliant tech whiz and a British citizen, who happens to have a sharp wit and a solid command of English, married to a gentleman named James Wright; so, there you go-a Wong transformed into a Wright! This caller was rather cagey about her whereabouts, the name of her company, and failed to leave any contact details or specifics regarding when the owner would be available. Frankly, her command of the language seemed quite impaired, as all she could manage was an urgent demand to speak with the business owner at once about some financial predicament.

Best to steer clear of this one!

Someone rang me asking to verify my name and where I lived. I told them they had the details wrong and that I was actually Samantha Cameron living at 10 Downing Street. They didn’t appear to know either one! I guess it’s my little way of messing about with them since they’re wasting other people’s time too!

Called me three times this morning - rather infuriating!

This number calls me like 10 times every day. I mostly just ignore it since I can see who’s calling. When I do pick up, it’s just some robotic voice that eventually says goodbye. If I stay quiet, the call just ends with this annoying high-pitched sound.

They just wouldn't stop calling so I got one of those phone blocker gadgets and sorted them out. Honestly, best phone I've ever owned!!!!!!
