It is extremely foolish to grant remote access to your computer under any circumstance. Should your computer emit a beeping sound or display an alarming message indicating an infection, do not panic and immediately call a given phone number or similar instruction. Instead, simply reboot your computer or access the task manager and terminate the running browser application (be it Chrome, Internet Explorer, or any other). It is important to note that by falling into this trap, you inadvertently subscribe to scammers' mailing lists, thus making it easier for them to repeatedly deceive and swindle you.

I received a call from a certain number wherein the caller introduced himself as Sandeep the Prince. Surprisingly, he offered to send me a substantial amount of One Million US Dollars through a bank transfer, and I gladly accepted the offer. They are actually looking to gather information that they can sell to other telemarketing companies. They may sometimes identify themselves as "UK lifestyle." If you make the mistake of answering their questions, you will be bombarded with calls from other telemarketers. For instance, one of their seemingly innocent questions might be about the make of your TV. However, in a few months, you will receive a call from someone claiming to be your TV manufacturer, attempting to sell you an extended warranty for your TV. This is clearly a scam and the warranty they offer is completely worthless. These callers can become quite aggressive and may even threaten to continuously harass you until you comply with their questions. I know people who have been compelled to change their phone numbers just to escape from them.

There's no need to tolerate repeated phone calls. As soon as they call, block the number right away. Even if you don't pick up, you can still block the number.
