Reports on phone number 02031291244
10 yearsI experienced a rather distressing incident today involving a rather dubious phone number. The individual on the line claimed he could assist me with my computer, which had inexplicably frozen up. He started by going through all the applications I frequently use and then proceeded to alarm me with the presence of supposed hackers infiltrating my Amazon account. As we delved deeper, we reached the dreaded topic of my bank account. He insisted I provide all my banking details, and even though he was quite persuasive, I remained hesitant. He was adamant that there were 22 issues needing urgent attention and promised to send me a 'dummy call' where I had to rapidly enter a four-digit code he provided, claiming it would enhance my banking privacy. To add to the absurdity, the mock call requested a hefty £3000! I promptly made it clear that I wouldn't part with such an amount and suggested I confer with my bank before getting back to him. Just like that, the line went dead.Amazon10 yearsSeems like I've encountered a bit of a rogue, possibly one Mack Wilson, if that’s even his real name! He provided an extension number, 057, for me to ring him back and verify his claims. Apparently, he'd been around for a month, or so he said. It all kicked off with a cheeky Facebook snap, then everything went dark, leading me to a Microsoft page touting a free phone number. I ended up wasting a good hour on the line, only to have him scramble my computer. Thankfully, my clever husband sorted it all out afterwards. I've already had a word with the authorities about the whole debacle!Mack WilsonFacebookMicrosoftSubmit Your Own Report (020 3129 1244)
