Watch out, a guy or gal with an Asian accent but a very English name called me claiming I was a customer of Talk Talk, which I'm definitely not. They tried to convince me that Sky and some other companies were all part of Talk Talk, just different branches or something. I kept them chatting for about ten minutes before telling them I don't even have internet or use social media. I'd say drag it out and waste their time. When you finally say you’ve no internet at all, they tend to hang up or, weirdly, in some cases, even insult you! What a charming experience!

I got a call from a guy with an Asian accent that I could barely make out. All I caught was him mentioning "talk talk". Thing is, I stopped using Talk Talk about 6 months back. When I asked for a supervisor, he gave me a number to call for "confirmation". I told him I'd be reporting it to the cops and he just ended the call. Pretty suspicious if you ask me.

Got a call from someone claiming to be TalkTalk, trying the usual ‘your computer has a virus’ routine. I just switched my internet provider not long ago because of that big hacking mess they had, so I reckon these fraudsters somehow got hold of my info. A word to the wise: don’t let anyone control your computer remotely - TalkTalk have never asked me to do that. And definitely don’t give out your bank details.

Got a call from someone saying they were with TalkTalk, claimed there was a problem with my computer. They tried to get me to give them control of my PC and even said they’d cut my phone line if I didn’t cooperate. Total scam, don’t fall for it!

I received a rather amusing phone call today from a lady claiming to be with TalkTalk. She was of Asian descent and insisted that I needed to switch on my computer because they had detected some sort of 'red virus' on my device. It was obviously a scam, but I couldn’t help but find the whole thing quite entertaining!

I got a call from someone calling himself Alan Johnson, saying he was from Talk Talk. He said there were some nasty attacks on my PC and gave me a number to ring back. He already had my name and account details, which freaked me out a bit. But when I asked a few questions, he started saying I couldn’t even speak English properly. Definitely a scammer, avoid!

Got a call earlier from some bloke claiming to be Wayne at TalkTalk. Said there was an issue with my internet being used by someone else and asked if I could switch on my computer. Absolutely no chance!

I got a call from someone claiming my computer was secretly downloading harmful software and that if I followed their steps, they could fix it for me. When I asked for more info, he said his name was Jason Smith and told me to ring back on 02031291097. I had no faith it was really from TalkTalk, just seemed like a trick to get into my PC. Also, how do they even find private numbers like mine when I'm unlisted? Plus, their calls don’t even show the number at first - just ‘out of area’ - which makes it tricky to block them.

I received a rather concerning phone call from a gentleman with an Indian accent, introducing himself as Sam Thomas, supposedly representing TalkTalk. He claimed that my internet connection was sluggish and offered to assist me in fixing it if I would just hop on my computer and adhere to his instructions. When I mentioned that I couldn't attend to it immediately and requested a callback number, he provided me with 02031291097 and urged me to ask for him directly. Thinking it prudent, I contacted TalkTalk without delay, only to discover it was a complete fraud! Just a heads up-stay vigilant!
