This morning, the same number called me four times - one woman and three blokes, all saying they were from BT’s tech team. They kept insisting on getting into my internet because they said there were loads of errors. I told them straight up I don’t have internet and to jog on. They hung up almost immediately after that.

Received a call from someone claiming to be with BT. I informed him that BT doesn’t even provide my internet, and then he insisted that my service would be cut off. I decided to ring back the number, and lo and behold, BT confirmed there’s no service associated with it. Total scam!

I wasn't home when this number rang me a few times, like three calls in total, then again earlier today. I usually don't answer calls from strangers. I'm gonna add it to my blocked list for sure.

Got a call from someone with a strong Indian accent claiming to be from BT talking about my router. I told him I’m not a BT customer, but he just kept going on about the router anyway. Then he asked which company I’m with, but I didn’t want to say. When I asked where he got my number from, especially since I’m registered with TPS, he quickly hung up. This number has rung a few times over the last couple of days, but I’ve not been home to answer.

Nobody uttered a word, and then there was just this bizarre “unobtainable” sound. Clearly, it was a call generated by a dialler, one where no customer service representative was available to answer, leaving me exasperated at not having an Indian voice on the other end to inform that my internet is indeed functioning perfectly fine, and my computer is tip-top, cheers for your concern! I've occasionally told these callers it's high time they devised a new tactic, as their current one is rather stale, if I do say so! My wife has taken to blasting a rather ear-piercing whistle down the line whenever these types of nuisance calls come through. Is there no way for the telecom providers to block these numbers?

Got a call from someone saying they were with BT and that there was an issue with my computer, I just hung up straight away!

Got a call around 11:30 from someone saying they were from BT tech support saying there was a problem with my internet. Strange thing is, i don't even have BT broadband! Had to answer the door right after, and by the time I got back the call was already ended. Shame, i was really up for messing about with whoever it was.

Just had a rather dodgy call from a gentleman with an Indian accent, claiming to represent BT. He insisted that my internet connection was being compromised by a hacker. When I probed about why BT was ringing me instead of my actual internet service provider, he asserted that BT was in fact my provider. Upon requesting further details, such as his address and some technical specifics, he had the audacity to call me a "daft bloke!" (Only my mates are that cheeky with me.) What a blatant scam; folks, stay vigilant!

these idiots keep ringing me like 3 or 4 times every day. just had another one now. normally i ignore it but today i picked up and told the woman, "how about i give you my bank info so you can stop pestering me?" she ended the call straight away. go figure!

got a call from some bloke calling himself “charlie” claiming hackers were in my computer. once he saw i wasn’t falling for it, he rang back and started screaming, “oi, where’s your bloody husband? i'll shove my d*** up your a***!” proper rude and scary, honestly.

I received a call from an Asian gentleman who claimed to be representing BT Openreach. He informed me there was an issue with my internet connection. However, when I expressed my disbelief, he became increasingly irate and started raising his voice. His aggression escalated, and he resorted to foul language, repeatedly telling me to 'bugger off' and calling me thick, while threatening disconnection of my service. I finally had to end the call with him yelling in the background. I've since reached out to BT regarding this horrible experience, as I believe it's crucial to alert others about this scam.

I received a dodgy call purporting to be from BT, saying they would have to disconnect my internet for at least three weeks because of some hacking issues.
