5 yearsGot two calls from this number within the past four days. I never pick up unknown numbers; if it’s important, they’ll drop a voicemail anyway.5 yearsI said, "Who asked you to ring me?" and they just cut the call straight away.5 yearsThis morning my phone rang and I answered but stayed silent. After about 15 seconds of me not saying anything, the caller just ended the call.5 yearsJust had some dodgy calls from people claiming to be Carphone Warehouse, total scam artists. Avoid them!Carphone Warehouse5 yearsWhenever I get a call from an unknown number and want to find out who it is, I pick up but stay silent. Usually, after just a second, I’ll hear a click and the call ends. If there’s any noise or people talking in the background, I just hang up straight away. If it’s something important, they’ll leave a voicemail anyway.5 yearsSo, I got a call from someone saying they're with Carphone Warehouse and that my phone upgrade was ready. It seemed a bit off to me, so I looked them up here and ended up saying I thought it was a scam before hanging up. Felt dodgy from the start!Carphone Warehouse5 yearsI picked up but there was nobody speaking, then suddenly the line just went dead!5 yearsI got calls from these numbers: 02031219852, 02038073418, 02037695031 and 02037471912, all from the same bunch of scammers pretending to be Carphone Warehouse linked with EE. They said I’d been picked for an upgrade and started asking loads of personal stuff like my name, date of birth, how long I’d lived at my address, bank details, card info and my email. They even sent me poorly made fake contracts via email which was a dead giveaway. The voice sounded Indian and the call quality was really muffled, probably some VOIP call. After they got all the info, they rang me again a few days later threatening to charge my card and told me to inform my bank it was a legit transaction if contacted. Definitely a scam. I decided to mess with them and gave fake details and card numbers - honestly, they were confused and kept trying to figure out why the payments wouldn’t go through, mumbling and giving me fake card numbers in a stuttering voice. It was hilarious. If this number rings you, don’t give out real info. Either hang up straight away or waste their time because they’re just out to scam people. UPDATE: After a few months, I got another call from 02031219852, same scam, same voice. They recited all the bogus info I’d given before and tried to get new card details for an “upgrade.” Don’t fall for this, they will use whatever you tell them to steal from you!Carphone WarehouseEECarphone Warehouse / EE5 yearsI picked up but the caller just dropped the call without saying anything.5 yearsI didn’t answer the call.Submit Your Own Report (020 3121 9852)
