These calls claiming to be from BT are definitely a con. I’m not even with BT, yet they keep ringing, each time from a new number. They go on about how my internet isn’t safe and get all mixed up about this 'public' vs 'private' network stuff. Obviously, you want your connection secure but you’re on a shared network, paying your provider like everyone else. This isn’t some exclusive corporate setup with a private network, so their spiel makes no sense.
