Last week, I had a phone call from this number, but they neglected to leave any voicemail. Today, I got another call where the caller claimed to be from Scottish Power. They mentioned that a meter reader had visited the previous week and apparently recorded an incorrect reading, asking if I could provide the figures once more. I informed them that nobody had come to my property, but out of good will, I shared the meter reading again. However, after doing some sleuthing on the number, it seems rather dubious that it actually belongs to Scottish Power. I intend to drop them an email to confirm.

I’m at a bit of a loss regarding this number. When my phone diverted to voicemail, all I caught was a click, followed by what sounded like someone hanging up. Quite strange, really!
