ANNOYING PHONE CALL: Got a call from someone asking if I'd had an accident. Before I could tell her to stop, she passed me over to her manager. I hung about just long enough to say I wasn't interested, to stop ringing me, and that I don't allow my info to be shared! These folk seriously wind me up.

I told them my name when I picked up but then just waited for a bit, hoping someone or some automated system would say something back. After a few moments of silence, nothing came through.

Got a call just now from this number, some woman claiming she was with Sigma. I asked what that was about and she said something about me being in an accident. Told her I’m on the TPS and she had no right to ring me, plus I’ve never even been in an accident. Told her to get lost and that I’d be reporting her. These ambulance chasers really need to be stopped - no clue how she got my phone number, I only share it with mates!

I got a call saying it was about an accident I supposedly had. Definitely some kind of scam.

I got a phone call from someone named Julie at Sigma, who claim she heard I’d been in a car accident. This is the third time I've had calls like this from different businesses recently. When I replied with something like, “Oh no, not another one of you,” she just ended the call straight away!
