I wouldn’t bother picking up; nobody ever says a word. Better to just block the number!

I got a call from someone speaking with a Nigerian accent. The number showed up as a UK forwarding line, probably so it seems like a genuine UK call and to mask the actual international number. They were trying to tell me there was a problem with my internet. I told them I’d logged out of the internet right away but kept chatting about this supposed 'faulty' connection. After about five minutes, the caller started swearing and laughing before hanging up on me.

They keep ringing me without end-such a bother! I simply refuse to pick up and wouldn’t dream of sharing any details with them.

They ring up all the time, but there’s never any noise when i answer.

They're forever ringing me up - what a right pain! I never pick up, and I certainly don't share any details with them.

Lately, we’ve been getting two or three calls a day from this particular number. This has only begun happening in the last few weeks. Since we’ve got Caller ID, we simply let it ring without answering. Honestly, reporting it to the Telephone Preference Service feels pointless. They don’t seem to act on calls that go silent.

I recently got a call from this number claiming to be from BT, and it was abundantly clear that it was a scam! To 'verify' their identity, they provided me with a reference number consisting of an astounding 37 digits! I've reported this as fraudulent to BT, and they've assured me that the number has been blocked.

Made six calls within a day, despite my request to opt-out of such communications. How frustrating!

I keep getting calls from this number, but as soon as I pick up, the person just hangs up on me. Can anyone tell me who it might be?

I’ve had this number calling me repeatedly, and it’s honestly become a bit much. I’m really fed up with it now-it's hardly amusing anymore!

I keep getting calls from someone named Amanda claiming she's from BT, ringing me like three times every day. She doesn’t sound British at all, more like she’s got an Asian accent. Looks like it's a total con, so watch out for it.

It's purportedly from BT.
Absolutely do not share any details - it's a con aimed at extracting your personal data and, in the worst-case scenario, swindling your money.

i got a call from a woman sayin she was from BT. she told me my internet was insecure and said some nasty software was getting downloaded every time i went online. i found that hard to believe since ive got decent antivirus on my laptop. she wanted me to switch it on again so she could install some kind of security tool, but i refused and just ended the call. ive already reported it to actionfraud.police.uk.

i've been getting calls from this number loads lately. every time i pick up, they just hang up straight away after i say the name of my computer support shop. you'd think they'd add me to their no call list but nope, they clearly haven’t bothered. now i’ve blocked them using bt call protect (it shows as 1572 on my bt landline). pretty annoying!

This number called me three times today but I just let it go to voicemail. I’ve saved it in my contacts as ‘scam - ignore’ now so I won’t bother answering if it shows up again.

Watch out, an Asian lady called saying she was from BT. Don’t fall for it, it’s a trick to steal your bank info. Just a heads up based on what I’ve heard before.

Claimed to be from BT and was inquiring about my internet setup! Seemed clueless about my name and became quite irate when I pressed for details about their identity! I've since put a block on that number.

Some bloke called saying he was from BT, but it was obvious they weren’t. Total scam trying to push a fake router upgrade. They told me to punch in details on this weird site detals onchtips://validator.w3.org/ or something like that, then started going on about how my internet got hacked. Next thing, they asked for my bank info. I got suspicious and ended up reporting it to http://www.actionfraud police.uki.

I received a dubious phone call today, purporting to be from BT. These chaps were spinning a yarn about faulty internet routers that required immediate attention. Interestingly, the callers had an Asian accent. They directed me to a rather peculiar website - https://validator.w3.org/ - insisting I input my email service, shopping site, and banking info. While they cleverly avoided asking for my bank details straight away, they wanted to schedule a follow-up call to ‘resolve’ the router issue. Let me clarify - this is not legitimate BT business.
