I got a call from someone speaking with a Nigerian accent. The number showed up as a UK forwarding line, probably so it seems like a genuine UK call and to mask the actual international number. They were trying to tell me there was a problem with my internet. I told them I’d logged out of the internet right away but kept chatting about this supposed 'faulty' connection. After about five minutes, the caller started swearing and laughing before hanging up on me.

This number keeps ringing me at least a couple of times daily now, which is a bit maddening. It only started happening fairly recently. Luckily, my phone shows who’s calling, so I just don’t pick up. Tried reporting it to the TPS, but it’s pointless since the call is always silent and they can’t do anything about it. Such a pain!

This number rang me claiming to be from BT, but it didn’t feel right at all. They tried to seem legit by giving a reference number - and get this, it was some ridiculous 37 digits long! I got straight onto BT to let them know it was dodgy, and apparently, they’ve already blocked the number now.

i got a call from a woman sayin she was from BT. she told me my internet was insecure and said some nasty software was getting downloaded every time i went online. i found that hard to believe since ive got decent antivirus on my laptop. she wanted me to switch it on again so she could install some kind of security tool, but i refused and just ended the call. ive already reported it to actionfraud.police.uk.

i've been getting calls from this number loads lately. every time i pick up, they just hang up straight away after i say the name of my computer support shop. you'd think they'd add me to their no call list but nope, they clearly haven’t bothered. now i’ve blocked them using bt call protect (it shows as 1572 on my bt landline). pretty annoying!

Some bloke called saying he was from BT, but it was obvious they weren’t. Total scam trying to push a fake router upgrade. They told me to punch in details on this weird site detals onchtips://validator.w3.org/ or something like that, then started going on about how my internet got hacked. Next thing, they asked for my bank info. I got suspicious and ended up reporting it to http://www.actionfraud police.uki.

Got a dodgy call from someone claiming to be with BT, saying there was a problem with my internet router that needed sorting. The callers sounded Asian and tried to steer me towards a site called https://validator.w3.org/, asking for stuff like my email service, online shopping site, bank info and payment gateways. They didn’t straight-up ask for bank details, but they wanted to set up another call to “fix” the router. Definitely not BT, total scam.
