My caller ID labelled the number as possible spam. When I checked my voicemail, there was a message telling me to get in touch about some possible fraud on my bank account.

I got a call from them a few times in a row, like three times within minutes, then they left a voicemail asking me to ring them back. Pretty sure they were trying to scam me for my bank info.

This is definitely a scam. My mum fell for it when she handed over the code during a call, and next thing you know, they accessed her account and signed her up for new phone contracts. I rang up O2’s customer support and they told me they no longer ring customers with offers because of these frauds ringing about. Luckily, the O2 fraud team handled my mum’s case really well. They cancelled all the contracts and secured her account straight away. If anyone ever asks you to give them a code over the phone, just hang up and report it. Don’t ever say the code out loud! It’s a real code from the official O2 login page for resetting your password, and that’s how they get access!

So this person rang me pretending to be from O2, offering some huge discount deal. But it was a scam - they asked me to enter a one-time code to 'verify' my account. Once they got hold of that, they went ahead and ordered a pricey phone contract in my name. Now I’m stuck with the charges! Watch out for this trick.

During the week, I got loads of calls back to back, sometimes only minutes apart. I never picked up because no real company would keep ringing that often without stopping.

At first, the call didn’t show as spam, so I just let it go since it’s Saturday and I rarely get calls then. But right after it stopped ringing, they phoned once more. This time my phone flagged it as spam, so I ended the call straight away. Then, just while I was typing this, they tried calling again. Blocked now.

Received a call claiming to be from O2, offering me a SIM-only deal for £6, which supposedly included unlimited calls and texts along with 1000 international minutes. I firmly declined their proposal and ended the conversation when they started probing for my bank details. No way I was giving that out!

Got a call from them thrice today, I ignored them all. A couple weeks back, a different number tried the same thing, with the same Indian accent. Honestly, they couldn’t care less if I reported them to Ofcom.

Over the past couple of weeks this number has rung me quite a few times, including twice just a few minutes ago. I made sure not to pick up after reading what others said about these calls. Cheers for the heads up!

Clearly a dodgy phishing attempt, absolutely not a genuine call from O2 Network.

Blimey! Got called 6 times in a row, like no break at all between rings! Nothing winds me up more than when they ring back straight away if you don’t pick up first time, but six times? That’s over the top. Seems like it’s probably O2, I asked for my PAC code from them just yesterday. Their prices are bonkers and the calls sound awful. Honestly, if they really want to hold onto customers, they might wanna hire people you can actually understand to talk you into staying. Makes more sense than this nonsense.

My partner handed me the phone, saying someone was offering half off our phone bill. The caller was speaking in a way I couldn’t make out, so I asked them to speak English proper. Then I asked for their name and their boss’s name, but they just kept calling me 'madam', which I found hilarious. I told them, “Do I sound like a woman to you?” That seemed to rile them up, and suddenly I got a load of insults. I just replied, "That's some top-notch service from O2," and they hung up. Can’t wait for the next round! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Looks like I've stumbled upon a dodgy operation here. They claimed to be representatives of the O2 Network, but I’m fairly certain that's not the case!

Just after I got a call from some number pretending to be O2 but there was nothing said, just silence, then it hung up on me. This one called me right after that happened.

Got a call from someone claiming to be O2, sounded legit at first but the number wasn’t the official O2 one. Don’t fall for it, best thing to do is just end the call straight away.

This number has rung me three times today. I didn’t pick up the first call, but for the next two I answered and just kept quiet. Both times, the call got disconnected after a few moments of silence.

Somebody pretending to be from 02 called me up saying I could save 40% or even 50% on my bill. I ended up reading out what turned out to be their own number as the 'code' they’d supposedly sent. They actually accepted it like it was legit. Nah, definitely feels like a scam to me.
