Got a call from 02032861973, telling me I owed £3900 in back taxes supposedly on behalf of HMRC. The caller had an American accent and didn’t ask any security questions. When I questioned them, they just hung up. They even said the police would be at my door in two hours to arrest me!

02032861973 called me pretending to be from HMRC, real pushy. Said I owed £4500 and there was a warrant for my arrest. Threatened to take my passport and driving licence and freeze all my bank accounts. Said if I paid straight away, they wouldn’t arrest me. Spoke with an American accent, said his name was Michael Barnes.

I keep getting calls from the same lot but they keep switching numbers. Every time I tell them to take me off their list and stop calling, they just hang up.
