Got a call on my mobile where the caller used my name but messed up my title, so I told them no one like that lived here. The guy sounded quite polished, sounded like he had a bit of an Asian accent. He said sorry and ended the call. Seconds later the landline rang - this time from a different number but it matched one that called me yesterday which I found out was a scam. Anyone else noticed these dodgy calls pop up a lot more at the start and end of the month? To me it looks like they're trying to swoop in when folks probably have a bit more dosh in their accounts.

I got a call from a young lady with an East Asian accent trying to do some kind of consumer lifestyle survey, but I told her I wasn’t interested. I got a call from someone speaking in a voice that didn’t sound British at all. They already had all my details - my name, address, even postcode - and asked me if they were right. The caller said they were contacting me for some customer feedback on behalf of certain brands. They also told me about my consumer rights and mentioned that the call was being recorded. I told them I was a bit tied up, and the person just replied, “Alright, thanks, bye” before hanging up. These calls show up on my phone at least once or twice every day. It’s really frustrating!

This cold calling lot have been ringing non stop even after we told them to take us off their list a bunch of times. They still phone every single day. Might as well call our supplier and ask them to block these annoying calls!
