I keep receiving calls from this number, but I don't pick up since I'm not familiar with it. I've registered with the Telephone Preference Service, yet they never leave a message. Quite annoying, really!

Got a call earlier about "an accident i was in" . I told the woman on the phone i wasnt interested and just ended the call. Funny thing is, it took her a good ten seconds to finally hang up and free my line for some reason.

They phoned me this morning but I couldn’t really catch who they said they were from. They asked how I was doing and I just ended the call straight away. My number’s definitely on the TPS list so I reckon it might be one of those crash claim scams.

Had a caller with a really thick accent, hard to understand at all. Asked the lady to say again which company she was from, sounded like it was about accidents or claims or something. I told her I hadn’t had any, quite annoyed, and told her to bugger off before I hung up. By the way, I’m on the TPS list, just so you know. Also noticed that there was a good ten seconds delay before anyone actually spoke, so it’s clearly some automated system lining up people for a real person to take over.

A guy with a foreign accent rang, asked how I was doing. I was pretty suspicious about the call, so I just said I didn’t want to chat and ended the call.

I'm getting thoroughly fed up with these calls that keep coming in daily. It's starting to really grate on my nerves!

I continue to receive unwanted cold calls, even though my number isn’t registered and I’ve opted out of receiving any unsolicited sales pitches. It's quite frustrating!

I received a call inquiring whether I’d been involved in an accident. When I questioned what compelled me to divulge any details over the phone, the caller responded rather rudely, telling me to bugger off!

Got a call from a bloke with a foreign accent earlier today. He started off by asking how I was doing, and thinking it was some scammer, I decided to mess about and keep him hanging. I said I felt awful. He seemed sorry and then asked if I’d been in an accident during the last couple of years. I said that’s the reason I was feeling so bad. To my surprise, he just ended the call straight away! Felt a bit robbed of my chance to make up a story about it being a serious accident. Sorted it out by blocking the number so they can’t bother me again.

The phone rang on my home line earlier and when I failed to answer, it simply went to voicemail without anyone leaving a message. Out of curiosity, I dialled 1471 to find out who it was that called. After retrieving the number, I decided to look it up on Google, which led me to your website and prompted me to leave this comment.

Said they were from some accident insurance. Asked if I’d been in an accident in the past 3 years, so I told them nicely they’d have an accident if they rang me once more.

This number, (020) 3089 1423, called me again even tho I’m on the TPS list. I told them about it but they just went on talking about some accident I was never involved in. Reported them two times now, but feels like nothing gets done. Anyone else had this?

They said I'd been in an accident I supposedly didn’t report? I was like, wow, maybe I hit my head really bad because I’ve got no clue about any accident? Then they just cut me off. Complete scammers!

Got a call from some "Accident [unclear] Service". I told them I'm on the TPS and that I'd report them. When I asked where they got my number from, all I got was some rubbish mumbling back. I told the bloke to jog on and hung up. Since I've not been in any accident, sounds like a scam call or they're trying to get me to file a fake claim. Definitely reporting to TPS next.

Got a call from a woman called Lisa, sounded Indian, said she was with Accident Claim Services. I told her I’m on the TPS list and don’t want any cold calls. She mumbled something I couldn’t catch and then I ended the call. Pretty sure it’s the same lady who phoned yesterday asking for my son’s bank info, so it’s definitely a scam.

the person who called (sounded like a woman with an indian accent) said they were from some “accident claim services”. i told them exactly what i thought of those types of companies and mentioned my number is on the TPS so they’d be reported. but by the time i asked if she got what i just said, the line had already cut off. call came around 4:50pm on 14 april 2017,

Received a call from this number at around 10:46 on 11/04/17, the person on the line sounded like an asian man and said something about handling claims. I brought up the TPS straight away and he insisted it wasnt a sales call, which it clearly was, then he tried to push on but i told him i was going to report the call.

I'm on the TPS list and my number is unlisted. I received a call from some outfit about accident claims, but I just ended the call without saying a word. Nowadays, I always ensure my voicemail is activated and I check caller ID religiously. If the number isn’t familiar, I simply don’t pick up. If they’re legitimate, they'll drop a message, won’t they?

Received a call today - I’m on the ex-directory list and also signed up with the TPS. The chap on the line claimed to represent a firm named “Accident Claims Services.” When I inquired how he got hold of my number, he spun a yarn about it being sourced from a questionnaire I supposedly filled out after my recent mishap. Absolute nonsense, naturally.

Received a rather dubious call claiming to be from an insurance firm. Despite being ex-directory and signed up to the Telephone Preference Service, we still occasionally encounter these bothersome nuisances. I suspect these unscrupulous individuals are utilising technology to randomly churn out phone numbers-what other reason could there be? Our approach now is simple: if the number isn't familiar, we simply let it ring. And should one answer, it’s paramount to refrain from disclosing any personal information. As a cheeky little tactic, I like to let out a sharp, shrill note through a whistle into the receiver. It seems to do the trick every single time! 😊

a bogus insurance scam call. we’re ex-directory and on the tps, yet these weird calls still sneak through now and then. i reckon these scammers use some kind of auto-dialer to pick numbers at random - can’t think of another reason. if a number looks unfamiliar, just don’t pick up - that’s how we handle it now. and if you do answer, never share any personal info. on a lighter note, try letting out a loud, sharp whistle down the line - it seems to throw them off every single time!

It’s quite infuriating, isn’t it? Despite my number being ex-directory and stated on the preference list, I keep receiving these bothersome calls. This isn’t the first encounter-I’ve already informed them that my number is on the preference list, and I’m not interested in their irritating calls. They seem to be trying to pull off some scam related to accident claims. It really makes one wonder how these dreadful individuals manage to obtain ex-directory numbers in the first place!
