Users are advised not to respond, avoid sharing personal data, and report the number to authorities. This number is no longer in service but is connected to widespread, documented scams across the UK.

Got a voicemail from this number warning me about going to court. I called back and ended up talking to a bloke with an Asian accent. I told him I’m a traveller and threatened to break every bone he’s got. He just hung up on me. Pretty sure it was some kind of scam.

Got a voicemail with the exact message just now. Has anyone tried calling that number back yet?

Got a call like that just yesterday, left a voicemail saying they were gonna take legal steps against me. I ended up speaking to some bloke called Denis who said I should get a solicitor because apparently there’s a lawsuit against me. When I asked him some questions, he couldn’t really answer and then just hung up on me.

I tried calling 02030867279 with my caller ID hidden but the line just said it’s no longer in service. Strange!

This afternoon my husband received a similar call, got the voicemail and decided to ring back. He ended up speaking to someone called officer Peter Wilson, who started threatening him about owing £3900 and said they’d take him to court if he didn’t pay. It’s clearly a load of rubbish. My husband even gave out his name and insurance details before realising something was fishy. Best advice, don’t engage with them at all!

this guy sounded asian and tried to get some personal info off me, but when i asked if this was a scam he just ended the call right away.

Got a robo call claiming to be from HMRC, seemed dodgy straight away. Decided to do a reverse phone lookup and discovered loads of others reporting the exact same scam message. Reported it to the police as well so they can try and track them down.

I got a call with some robotic voicemail, so I called back. The guy on the other end started saying I owe 4480 quid for tax fraud and told me to send it to some random third-party account. Sounds like a total scam to me. They even threatened to freeze my bank account, suspend my driving licence and said I wouldn’t be allowed to work here anymore. Proper dodgy stuff.

Got a voicemail from someone saying they were from HMRC, threatening me by saying “if you or your solicitor don’t get back to us, there’ll be serious repercussions”. Total con, I’m sure HMRC wouldn’t ring up like that. If it was real, they’d definitely use my name and be way more polite - probably send a letter rather than some aggressive call!

I got a call from some automated lady saying something like "prepare for legal action" if I don't ring back. It was really intimidating, especially considering I'm quite vulnerable. The person on the line claimed to be Officer Denis Grey. Proper scary stuff.

Got a dodgy call full of threats that bizarrely finished with "take care." Best to just ignore it completely.

Got a voicemail for a missed call, but my phone never rang even though I was holding it. The message was from a computerised female voice claiming to be from HMRC, saying I should ring back. She said the number twice and then warned me not to ignore it, threatening consequences if neither me nor my solicitor gets in touch. It’s clearly a scam because HMRC wouldn’t call like that or make threats. Really hope nobody gets caught out by this. I’m planning to block the number straight away.

I received a message from HM Revenue today, 28th June, with a Northern Ireland number.

Got a missed call earlier, and now there’s a voicemail left. Pretty much like what others have mentioned here. The message was urgent sounding, something about HM Customs and a deadline to respond. Then came the warning part - if I don’t make contact soon, or my solicitor doesn’t, “prepare for the consequences.” Honestly, it’s the sort of thing that would freak out most folks, but luckily I’m level-headed enough to see through it. Planning to report the whole thing to the police and BT. The caller claimed to be Officer Dennis Gray from HM Customs.

Got a voicemail from someone claiming to be HMRC, said it was urgent and with a bloke called Denis Grey. He warned that if I didn’t call back, their solicitor would get involved. I rang them back but they just cut off after one ring. It all sounded pretty dodgy and way too hostile to be genuine HMRC.
