I received a rather peculiar call from a woman who had a distinctly foreign accent, claiming to be affiliated with the NHS. She insisted that I was eligible for some sort of emergency alarm system that would allow me to summon help if required. I was instructed to press “1” on my keypad, but I chose to ignore that request. Instead, I firmly expressed my disinterest and ended the conversation. To be frank, I’m convinced this was nothing more than a scam.

Oh, what a right nuisance! Had a call from some scoundrels with foreign accents, trying to pull a fast one by claiming they could renew my kitchen appliances’ insurance. It was all rather suspect. When I politely declined, they turned nasty-such rudeness! It’s incredible how low some people will sink to try and rob you blind.

Just got a call from a dodgy number claiming to be my alarm company, but I only had it put in by a proper firm, so it’s obviously a scam. Must be they somehow got the contact from somewhere else.

Someone rang me pretending to be from The Health Authority and told me I qualified for a helpline that came with an emergency button. At first, they said it wouldn’t cost a thing, but then switched to saying it was £39.95 monthly for six months before becoming free. When I refused to share my bank info, they got quite aggressive.

I received a call from a company offering medical alert services, but when I mentioned my financial situation and that I couldn’t afford it, they abruptly cut the line. It seems suspicious to me, and I have a hunch this might be a scam.

So this woman Jennifer calls me up saying I’m getting some emergency wrist band or whatever. I wasn’t having it and told her to hang up. Then she snaps at me, telling me to shut up and put the phone down! Proper rude.

Let my answerphone handle the calls from this number and as soon as it started asking for a message I just ended the call. Seems like a scam to me. I usually just let it ring through, not sure what else to do.

They kept ringing asking for my hubby who passed away like 20 years ago. I told them to quit calling and then blocked the number.

He mentioned something about appliance insurance, was trying to check if I handled my own money. When I questioned why he needed to know, he turned rude and started threatening me after I called him out as a scammer.

Today, a few odd numbers have been ringing my phone, and this one was among them. I picked up but stayed silent, just catching the chatter of a call centre in the background before the caller suddenly ended the call.

I just had a rather tedious experience with someone attempting to peddle a global health alarm system to me! The moment I mentioned that my finances were tight, they promptly ended the call. Quite rude, really!

I received a call claiming to be from Medical Services, and the person on the line stated that they were distributing personal alarms to everyone born prior to 1955. Remarkably, they had my name, address, and postcode! When I mentioned that I hadn’t given permission for this call, she promptly disconnected. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!
