Somebody phoned pretending to be from BT, saying my home phones got cut off and I had to switch with them - total con since I’m actually with Virgin on fibre. While on the call, I caught people chatting away in the background, bragging about how well their scams worked before (apparently they got someone’s bank info and card details, mad that anyone could fall for it). I wasn’t having any of it and told the caller I heard all that in the background and called them scum for trying to scam people.

Got a call claiming BT was about to disconnect my landline. I’m not even with BT, so I just ended the call. Seems dodgy, right?

They just hang up right when my voicemail picks up, guess it's just a sales call or some sort of scam. Best to just ignore it.
