They claimed to be from the Telephone Preference Service and said they’d make all the nuisance calls (including his) stop. I requested some sort of written proof, which they agreed to send. But the moment I asked who I should write the cheque to, they suddenly hung up on me.

Ugh, today was a nightmare - got called three times! The third time, the caller actually went along with the chat and had my full address and postcode. They kept saying I pay by direct debit, which I don’t. Honestly, I’m worried these lot could be dodgy; next thing you know, they’ll be asking for your card info and some folks might just hand it over without thinking. Proper scary!

This number's called me four times already today! The bloke claimed he was with the TPS. It seems like a London number at first, but if you have caller ID switched on, it shows up as an international call. So definitely not really coming from London. When he told me he worked for TPS, I told him he should maybe try blocking his own number first.

Got a call from someone with a foreign accent who wanted to talk about nuisance calls. As soon as I told them they were the cause of all my spam calls, they just hung up on me. Quite cheeky really.

Got a call shortly after 9 on Boxing Day. Recognised straight away it was those TPS scammers again, they never stop pestering. Was feeling really poorly, so I just coughed down the phone and they ended the call. They even rang from another number. Would've thought it'd be easy enough for someone to track down the crooks behind all this nonsense, whether man or woman.

Got loads of calls, and finally someone answered, asking for me by my last name. I didn’t say yes, just asked who was calling. They said they were from TPS and wanted to know if I’d had any unwanted calls. I told them yeah, this one counted, and asked them to remove me from the list but they might call back again. Then they just cut me off straight away. Bet they’ll ring again soon!
