I recently received a phone call offering me a complimentary trial of a magazine. To my surprise, today I got the trial issue along with a letter stating that they have set up a direct debit for £89, which I never consented to. I'm planning to visit my bank after the weekend to put a stop to this. I've attempted to reach out to Shoe Lane Press through both phone and email, but to no avail. Is this not some sort of unlawful practice?
