A bloke with an Asian accent called me, and as usual, they mucked up my name! He claimed to be from TPS and asked if I'd been getting calls from "this" particular number. It felt a bit odd, so I told him I get tons of annoying calls from all over and ended the call. Right after, the phone buzzed again showing the same caller ID, so I just ignored it and blocked the number straight away!

Got a call from an Asian lady saying she was from the TPC team at BT. I instantly knew it was a scam but had nothing better to do, so I played along for about 45 minutes, feeding her made-up details. She started getting pretty irritated and even shouted at me for 'wasting her time'! They’re just trying to get your personal details to rip you off, watch out for these tricks.

I got a call like this from a bloke with an accent that wasn’t local. He said he worked for a phone blocking company and mentioned BT in passing but insisted they weren’t actually BT. He told me I’d signed up for their "free" service but then suddenly wanted my debit card info. He said they’d be sending some kind of gadget for my phone next. I just ended the call straight away.

My poor mum got these awful calls from some company trying to make her pay £99. They were constantly pestering her and made her really upset. She actually paid it, thinking it was legit, but luckily I managed to get the money back through the bank. They claimed she got some call blocking stuff from them, but she never got anything at all. Now they keep ringing her every day, demanding that she pay again. It’s just horrible behaviour.

Twice I got calls from a woman saying she was with the telephone preference service, asking for the expiry date on my debit card, claiming theirs on file had run out. I didn’t share any info, but later I looked up 1471 to see who’d called me and it showed her number, not the real TPS number. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

I work in the accounts dept of a law firm and this number keeps ringing me up around three times a week, always asking for someone called Mr Spindley. We don’t have anyone by that name here at all. I've told them repeatedly to stop calling this number. One time I even called back and spoke to an asian gentleman to explain there’s been a mistake, but he just hung up on me halfway through. It’s really annoying and feels like harassment. Honestly, they should be stopped and penalised by the law.

As someone employed in the accounts department of a legal practice, I find myself receiving calls from this number at least three times weekly in search of a Mr Spindley. I assure you, there’s no such individual within our establishment. I've reiterated my request for them to cease their persistent phoning, yet to no avail. In an attempt to clarify the situation, I even made a call back and spoke to a gentleman of Asian descent, but before I could finish my explanation, the line went dead. It's incredibly irritating and seems like harassment from an intrusive company-surely, such conduct ought to be addressed by the authorities, and they should face hefty fines for their indiscretion!

I got a call from this number, a man speaking with an Asian accent, but he couldn’t say my name right at all. When I asked him to spell it out, he just couldn’t. So, I ended up blocking the number. Yet since 8th August, it’s been ringing once and then cutting off, like 11 different times. Why does it still manage to come through even though I blocked it? Really confusing.

They're really stubborn. I've got Call Guardian on and the number's blocked, so they can't get through, yet my call history shows loads of tries. Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent saying he was calling from BT about some nuisance call blocking thing. He already knew my name and where I live, which was a bit unsettling. got a call about 12:45 today from a guy who sounded asian, he said he worked for some phone blocking company and claimed he could stop annoying callers, asked for my info. i told him he was the annoying one and to never ring me again, then i just put the phone down.

Some bloke rang me, said he was from TPMS, the Telephone Preference Management Systems or summat, telling me my membership was ending soon. Thing is, I never signed up! I just kept him talking for about fifteen minutes, giving him all these vague answers so he didn’t get anywhere. After a bit, he just gave up and hung up on me!

got a call from an asian woman asking if our call blocker was still active. asked her which company she was with but she was pretty dodgy about it, talking way too fast for me to catch everything and tried to get my personal info right away. she had the name of someone living here but it wasn’t one that our provider recognise, so i reckon she pulled it from some third party, maybe online shopping records or something. when i mentioned that, she just hung up straight away. feels like a total scam to me.

On the 7th of Feb 2017, I got a ring from 02030519657. The person on the other end, who sounded like he was Asian, was asking me about unwanted calls. He said I'd get a free device in two weeks to block them. Then he started asking for the expiry date of my visa card, which made me suspicious straight away. I just hung up, sure it was a scam.

Had a call from a lady with an Asian accent wanting to speak to "Mr Adelly," which isn't our name but kinda close to mine. I told her there's no one living here by that name. Then she claimed she was calling from BT and that I was still supposed to be getting unwanted calls. I said the only calls I get are from BT, then I just ended the call and blocked the number. Definitely some kinda scam.
