I just got a phone call from 003097 claiming to be working with TPS to help stop nuisance calls. They had my name and address, so I was caught off guard. An Indian lady called Amber gave me a helpline number, 02030510987, to report any unwanted calls after they supposedly blocked my number. That’s when I got a bit wary. She then transferred me to her “supervisor,” which felt odd too. I told them to call me back the next day. After a quick search online, I found out it’s a scam. Thankfully, they never asked for my card info - even if they did, I wouldn’t have given it.

Had a call from a woman claiming to be Jessica but with an Indian accent, she kept repeating the same number and story about some call blocking issue. Then she started asking about my billing info and wanted my card details. I told her straight up she was a scammer, and she didn’t like that one bit!

I got a call from a woman who didn’t sound English, she said her name was Jennifer Jones and she claimed to be from some Call Prevention Service. She told me this was the number to ring if I wanted to complain about unwanted marketing calls. Before she even mentioned anything about payment, I told her I’d better hang up and look into it myself, then I just ended the call.

Somebody named Nivea Brown rang me saying she was from this Call Prevention Service linked with the UK Government and the TPS. She said she could add my phone to a protected list. It was obvious she was calling from overseas, but when I questioned her, she denied it. She gave me a customer service number, 0203 051 0987, and pushed me to ring them. She even wanted me to speak to her manager to prove she was legit! I managed to get her off the phone by saying I’d confirm everything with the TPS first before calling their number. She kept pestering me for my email address non-stop.

I just got a call from this lady claiming to be from the government and I lost it, I told her to bugger off. Didn't realise they were trying to charge me for something, so I said no way I'm paying. She kept ringing me back though! I ended up swearing like mad, then hung up, but she called me again. What the hell is going on?

Got a call from someone saying they’re a nuisance blocking company. They already knew my husband’s name and where we live, which was a bit creepy. Then, they asked if our phone bills were paid and up to date before they could offer any help! I even heard my own voice echoing behind them on the line. When they kept going on about checking if the bill was settled before doing anything, I got suspicious and just hung up. Watch out for this kind of call!

I received a ring from a number I couldn’t recognise. The person claimed to be part of some 'call blocking system' that helps stop annoying calls, saying they collaborated with the 'telephone preference service'. They provided me with this number, 02030510987, saying I could contact it whenever. They mentioned the service was free for life and that if I ever got any spam calls, I should report it to them. However, when they asked for my bank details to arrange a direct debit despite the service supposedly being free, I just ended the call then and there.

We've had a bunch of annoying calls that our system managed to block. The numbers we've got logged are like: 0012127773456, 001926458123, 02033258963, 02033522252, 002476584126, 0011903777552, 0012476584126, 002127773456, and 02030510987. The first one pops up early in the morning then keeps ringing through the day but with the number hidden. We never hear anything 'cause it's all blocked. I'd be careful answering any of these, it's best avoided.

Got a call earlier today from someone saying they were with the TPS, offering to help block nuisance calls from people pretending to be tech support, PPI claims, accident specialists, often with Indian accents. They said I’d have to put a device they’d send onto my phone line. Like I’m daft enough to let something like that get access to all my data! Then they started telling me my address and asked me to spell my name. I quickly worked out it was a scam and told them so before they cut off. These sorts of calls, along with the others like it, are wrecking my landline. It’s ridiculous how the authorities can’t seem to get rid of these scammers.

They said they weren’t calling from abroad, but it was obvious they were. The way they had some junior agent try and 'sell me on' to a closer is a classic move from these call centre scams. They told me some rubbish about my telephone preference service running out and that for £29 they’d block UK and foreign numbers. After checking their number here on this app, I just hit the nuisance caller option on my call blocker straight away.

I got a ring from this number and the person asked if I’d been getting any annoying or nuisance calls recently. They claimed they were linked with the TPS. When I asked for a contact number to verify, he gave me 020 3051 0987. He also mentioned a website called (#callpurifier{###), but the site is clearly made by Americans judging by the awful English on it, so it looked dodgy straight away. Someone called me, a woman with what sounded like an Indian accent, claiming to be from a dept that blocks calls. The connection was terrible, and there was a long pause before she started talking. The other day, our elderly mother, who's still grappling with the ins and outs of technology, received a rather alarming call. She panicked and rang us in a bit of a fluster, claiming these callers told her that her laptop was 68% corrupt and on the verge of collapsing completely! Naturally, she mentioned that we handle all things tech-related, which led to them providing the name Patrick Jones as a contact for us to call back. In reality, her laptop was perfectly fine and regularly maintained. Honestly, it's all a load of rubbish in my opinion. Very unimpressed with their tactics!

I received a call from this number, and the individual on the line claimed that there was an issue with our computer. They insisted we power up our machine and adhere to their guidance. Interestingly, they seemed taken aback when we asked for some sort of verification regarding their identity. To top it off, their accents were quite heavy, making it tough to comprehend what they were saying. We can’t shake the feeling that this might be a scam of some kind.
