I got a call yesterday (Monday) from - surprise surprise - Malcom like others have mentioned before. He launched into some nonsense about green energy. I just went "NO, NO, NO, NO, NO" and he actually echoed it back before hanging up. He actually knew my name, started off by asking if I was Mrxx YYYYYY. I didn’t reply to that straight away but asked why he was ringing me. He said it was about some energy survey happening nearby. When I asked for more details, he said he wouldn’t tell me anything unless I answered his questions first. So, I just ended the call.

I receive calls from this number day in, day out-often multiple times a day. Each time I pick up, they hang up on me. Just this morning, they rang for the second time, and I warned them I'd get the police involved. They promptly ended the call. Then, mere moments later, they phoned again. Before I even had a chance to respond, the caller asked if I was the registered owner of my property and claimed they were conducting some sort of energy survey. The accent had a distinct northern twang to it. I cut the call short while she was still rattling on.

Received a dodgy call earlier today. I gave him a right earful and blasted my whistle down the line. He had the audacity to ring me back, claiming I wasn’t being very friendly. I let him know just what I thought of him and asked how he manages to rest easy at night. Fingers crossed I’ve given him a bit of a headache!

Got a call this morning - could hear office buzzin' in the background then it just dropped out. Later in the afternoon, another one rang me, bit of a pause when I answered and then this bloke tries to sing something like "take off your clothes, come closer..." then it ended suddenly. Guess it was a bit of a strange p### call, but still just a waste of time really.

I had a phone call from these folks earlier today. It was the usual spiel about a complimentary energy assessment happening nearby. Curious, I inquired about how they got hold of my number. They simply replied, "a database". When I pressed for details on which specific database it was, the caller abruptly hung up.

Received a rather puzzling call from a woman who seemed to be at a call centre. She asked if I was speaking to Mrs X. Naturally, I wanted to know who was on the line. She quipped back, ‘mine wasn’t a rhetorical question’, to which I shot back, ‘and neither was mine!’ Funny how she abruptly ended the call after that. It's quite maddening, really, as I’m registered with the telephone preference service, but it’s doing little to deter these persistent nuisances.

Got a voicemail with a woman’s voice saying she was calling from HMRC and they’re taking legal action against me! Looked it up here and noticed others said it might be actually Green Clean calling, maybe they’ve switched up their tricks to scare folks into picking up. I’m gonna report it to HMRC just to be safe.

I received a call from a chap with a strong northern accent who persisted in claiming that I was meant to have an energy report. When I declined, he resorted to insults, calling me a rather simple-minded individual. It worries me that he could easily intimidate elderly or vulnerable folks into scheduling an appointment. Definitely not the sort of person one would want to deal with!

I received a call today (29/09/2017) from a woman promoting a green energy survey for homes with windows that are over a decade old. When I expressed my lack of interest, she abruptly ended the conversation without so much as a goodbye. It was quite rude, really! One has to wonder why she doesn't find herself a more respectable job!

I received a call from this number. When I picked up, there was a cacophony of noise and voices in the background, reminiscent of a call centre, yet no one seemed willing to engage with me despite my persistent hellos. Being registered with the telephone preference scheme, I habitually ask calls like this for their company name, their contact number, and if it turns out to be a nuisance call, I firmly inform them that I'm on the preference list and firmly demand they take my number off their records.

Don’t bother with this number, it’s a fake one made to look real. TPS can’t do much about these calls since they’re usually made by machines and there’s no way to find out who’s calling. I’ve blocked it so it doesn’t ring through, but our phone shows they still tried. Just don’t stress over it and ignore it. We never pick up calls from numbers not on our contact list anyway.

My missus picked up the phone and this woman asked, "Do you own (my address)?" She replied, "Who is this?" The caller asked again, "Do you own the house?" My missus said, "I’m not sharing info with strangers." The woman said, "We’re just going in circles here." Then my missus said, "I don’t talk to people I don’t know," and hung up. No clue who the caller was, but we checked the number using 1471.

They never bothered to say who they were. The phone rang, I picked up, and the bloke immediately asked, 'Who is this?' I replied, 'Well, who are you then, calling me out of the blue?' That seemed to annoy him big time as he snapped, 'Don't talk to me like that, how dare you be rude!' So, I just hung up there and then. All I wanted was to know who was calling me. Do they honestly think anyone’s daft enough to just give their details to some random stranger?! STEER CLEAR.

She did manage to utter a few words, but her attitude was rather off-putting.
