1 yearThis caller claimed to be from Microsoft and took control of my PC, telling me not to turn it off. I tried switching it off anyway but when it restarted, it showed the same warning and I couldn’t get into any of my files. At first, I let them in and noticed they removed my McAfee antivirus, which made me really suspicious. They then pushed me to fill out a form asking for loads of personal details, so I ended the call right there. Sadly, my computer is still locked up now.Microsoft1 yearI was browsing on Edge when suddenly a virus warning popped up, and around the same time my phone wouldn’t connect to wifi (which had nothing to do with it). Since I was locked out of my laptop, I decided to give the number a ring. It started off with an American dial tone but then switched over to a London one. I ended up chatting to a woman who seemed like she was just reading a script - definitely not genuine. She mentioned she needed to log in or something, so I just hung up. Totally suspicious, if you ask me.London1 yearSomeone called claiming there was a Microsoft security warning and told me to ring the number they gave. They were really pushy and kept saying not to shut my computer down. I ended up switching it off anyway!Microsoft1 yearGot a pop-up saying it was from Microsoft, claiming my PC was infected or something. It completely froze everything, had to do a hard restart. What a total rip-off!Microsoft2 yearsI keep getting these annoying robotic calls, and every time I block the number, they just change the last digit and ring me again! It's really frustrating.Submit Your Own Report (020 3038 5348)
