No response on the other side, just an awkward pause of like 8 seconds before they hung up. Luckily my phone’s got that spam filter and warned me it was a scam call before I answered, so I kinda saw it coming and just checked it out. Have it blocked now. I really do feel for the folks stuck with these phone jobs though, must be horrible, especially at places like the job centre if this is the kind of calls they’re dealin’ with. I used to do a bit of telemarketing myself, so I get how rough it can be. Absolutely rubbish.

So, I’ve had this outfit reach out to me, going by the name of Go Legal. Apparently, they claim they need to have a word with my boyfriend regarding a car accident he was involved in, and somehow they've ended up with MY personal mobile number. Here’s the kicker: my boyfriend has never linked his name to my number, nor have I for that matter. It seems likely they’ve gleaned my details from an insurance company where I listed him as a named driver, leading them to mistakenly assume our numbers are connected. They’ve called me twice already, and during the first call, I made it crystal clear that he doesn’t have access to my phone and I’m not in a position to discuss his affairs with anyone. It’s quite evident they’re being a bit too tenacious, seeing as the incident happened ages ago and everything has already been resolved. What I found amusing is how they couldn’t even tell me where they got my number from when I inquired. Oh well, what a bunch of clueless muppets!
