I received a rather curious phone call earlier. A woman on the line was trying to entice me with an offer of 8% interest on my savings, which, as we know, pales in comparison to the measly 1% most banks dish out these days. Naturally, I informed her that I needed to gather some funds before considering such a proposition. Seemingly unimpressed, she quickly lost interest and moved on. Seems to me like it’s one of those dodgy schemes!
