Phone number ☎️ 02030316595 👆 is reported as a persistent scam number frequently linked to fake medical alarms, insurance, appliance warranties, and fraudulent surveys. Callers often use Indian accents and spoof UK numbers, making blocking ineffective. They employ aggressive or evasive tactics, disconnecting when questioned. Knowing how to read is really important for life. On 05/08/22, there was stuff posted here explaining exactly how to deal with these scams. It seems like hardly anyone has bothered to follow the advice, which is why these scammers keep getting away with it. I reckon the police don’t even realise how big this problem really is..

Got a call from this number this morning, said it was some health company pushing a fall alarm that rings for help if you fall. Felt dodgy to me, definitely seems like a scam. The number was 02030316595, wouldn’t trust it at all.

Number 02030316595 called me twice this morning, but I ignored both calls. If they actually want to chat, they can leave a message, otherwise no point calling back. Why dont the phone providers use their power to block these scammers right from the start?

Around 24 posts before this one on here, there’s a detailed guide on how to actually stop these scam calls. It also goes into why just blocking numbers isn’t really effective and doesn’t really protect you from these types of scams.

My mum, who’s quite elderly, answered the phone before checking who it was. It was some bloke from India saying he was with a household appliances firm. When mum asked which company, he panicked and quickly ended the call. Pretty clear it was a scam, probably after money but who knows what else. The number rang me a few times earlier today too, but I’ve blocked and reported it now. I’ve done the same for my mum just to be safe.

I received a phone call from a chap with a strong Asian accent. He was promoting some sort of medical alert wristband. When I inquired about how he obtained my number, he mentioned something about a "publicly available database." Given that my number is ex-directory, I find that rather hard to believe. The conversation ended abruptly when I probed him for more details about where he sourced my info.

Some asian guy said my name so I just replied with "what is this about" without saying yes to my name or anything, then he started talking about medical stuff so I just hung up and blocked the number.

What should I do now? I was expecting a delivery so I picked up, which I normally wouldn’t. I even ended up talking to the person when usually I’d just hang up. Now I’m feeling a bit anxious. Is there anything I should watch out for?

Yesterday evening, a few posts down from this one, someone shared some solid advice on what to actually do if you want to put an end to these scams. They also pointed out why just blocking the numbers doesn’t work at all. Honestly, if you dont report these scams, nothing’s gonna change. It’s really that straightforward.

Got a call about some bogus broadband offer, came from a London number but it was definitely Indian scammers. Cheers for the info on this site, really useful. I knew about Action Fraud but had no clue how to reach out to them. I’m thinking of dropping a line to my MP too. It feels like these calls from Indian numbers pretending to be local could be blocked before they even ring us, right? But I reckon nothing will change unless the cops and MPs get bombarded with complaints just like we get with these scam calls.

A couple of posts down explain ways to help cut these scams down and why just blocking won’t do the trick. Reporting these dodgy calls doesn’t take any longer than putting up a message here. We won’t see results right away, but right now the police don’t really understand how massive this problem is or what new scams are out there. If everyone hit by these calls and messages doesn’t report them and complain to their MP, nothing will change to put a stop to these crooks.

Scammers really hate it when people report them to 'action fraud' and theyre also worried about the UK bringing in 'caller ID verification'. There was info about both here but its getting lost under other comments that just say its a scam.

This dodgy number’s been linked to loads of scams all day. More than 6,500 folks have looked it up here, and I’m certain some have lost cash. The three comments below were actually posted this morning. Imagine if every single one of the 6,000+ people who checked it out had actually reported it and complained to their MP about these scams - who knows what might’ve changed. Scammers know most people won’t report them, and that’s why these scams keep coming back.

Got a call from a woman who called herself Susan - didn’t sound anything like that name to me! Her accent was so thick I struggled to catch what she was saying, but I think she was asking if I rented from the council. I said no, then she asked if I owned my place. I told her no, I’ve got a caravan instead. After that, she just hung up, probably thought I was daft (I’m not, lol)! Pretty obvious it was a scam.

If ya really wanna put an end to these scams, there were 3 posts earlier today and nearly 20 more below here explaining step-by-step what to do, how to do it, and why it’s so important. Cheers to whoever shared the details about the Action Fraud site. I've reported it as well. I’m with you, it’ll take a heap of complaints before the cops and our so-called government begin to actually do something about these scams. Got a call saying they're from the boiler service and could offer us a cheaper deal this year. When I asked for the caller's name, he said Michael but had an Asian accent. Strange how these scams often have English names but the accent doesn’t match. When I pressed about which company he worked for, he just kept saying “The boiler department” and gave no proper answer. I told him if he couldn’t give a real company name I’d end the call, then it just cut off. I also did a test with a number I wrote wrong before: 02030216595 instead of the correct one.

My phone was on silent and I didn’t have it near me when they called. I tried to call back a minute after but it just rang once or twice then they hung up on me!

Hello there. I received a call from someone with a strong Asian accent. He was going on about a medical alert wristband and was trying to sell me one. I made it clear to him that I wasn't in the market for such services, as I have no need for an emergency alert system.

Got a random call from some bloke with an American accent, kicking off with the usual "Hey, how ya doing today?" Felt totally dodgy, must be one of those scams.

Just got hit up by one of those cold call scams again, straight into the junk folder it goes.

I picked up the phone and there was this Asian lady on the other end. She asked if my missus was about and even used her name. I told her she was out working and then, without a word, she just ended the call. Proper rude, that!

They've rang me a couple times today, but I haven’t picked up cause I reckon it’s probably a scam. Gonna just block the number now.

Got a call from this number, seemed like some sort of medical scam. Didn’t hang around, just blocked it straight away. No way I’m getting involved with that.

Got a call from an Asian woman while I was overseas - figured it’d cost them a bit, which was satisfying. She claimed to be calling from Virgin and wanted me to confirm who was at home. I said no, but she kept asking, saying she had a big discount for me. Told her no again, said cheers, and ended the call. These sorts of calls are dodgy for sure - definitely scams!

Today around 2:12pm, I got a call on my mobile from a number I didn’t know. I was outside and couldn’t make out what they were saying properly, so I ended up hanging up.

Got a call back from 01822 300027 after I missed a call where the voice was too quiet to make out. The caller said they were with EE, but it sounded dodgy to me. Definitely think it's a scam.

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent, kept calling me "Madam" and going on about how busy I must be. She claimed she needed to ask me three quick questions for some survey. Said she was ringing from something like Choice or that, and already had my full name and address, which was a bit creepy. Told her I was too busy and ended the call straight away. I've blocked the number since then.

They rang me two times within ten minutes but never left any message. I tried ringing back to ask them to stop calling me, but no one answered. Quite frustrating!
