I received a phone call from someone claiming that my washing machine warranty was up. I informed him that I'm registered with the Telephone Preference Service and shouldn't be receiving such calls. Despite this, he just got louder, insisting that I had overlooked their earlier attempt to contact me. I explained that my washing machine was purchased back in 2017 and is covered for five years through John Lewis, which is absolutely true. However, he refused to listen and continued with an increasingly aggressive tone. Despite countless nuisance calls I've dealt with over the years, I've never encountered someone who spoke in such an unfriendly and confrontational way.
