I've received two calls from this number, and it’s always about pensions. The moment we mention that we're registered with the telephone preference service, they just hang up! Quite frustrating, really!

I had a call from this number, 020 302 69917, at precisely 17:03 on the 6th of February, a Wednesday, they mentioned something about sending over a review of our pension plans. However, they hung up rather hastily when I brought up my employment with a newspaper. Quite suspicious behaviour, if you ask me!

I just had a rather unexpected phone call from a chap named Dennis, who had a thick American accent. Strangely, he knew my name and launched into a spiel about pensions. I swiftly let him know I wasn’t interested and hung up. Honestly, it all feels like a scam to me. My pension plans are a private matter, and if I ever need guidance, I'll seek it out myself, thank you very much. To top it off, given that I'm registered with the Telephone Preference Service, these unsolicited calls are particularly annoying and only reinforce my disdain for whoever is behind this nonsense.

I'm not quite sure who this caller is, but they seem to ring me at nearly the same time each week-around 14:45. It's a bit peculiar, really.

I got a call from this number, some bloke with an accent saying he was from the Wealth Office and wanting to talk about pensions. I told him I’d never heard of the Wealth Office and he just cut the call straight away. This is the second time in the past couple of weeks I’ve had one of these scammy calls.

I got a call from this number, and the bloke on the other end had a weird foreign accent. He was asking for me by name, “Is this Mr Xxxxxxx Y Zzzzzz?”

I answered, “Could be, who’s asking?”

Then he goes, “Don’t remember your own name? You should check with your mum!” (he said it exactly like that) before hanging up.

Pretty obvious he wasn’t keen on telling me who he was.

I used to get bombarded with calls from folks who just wanted to waste my time when I was relaxing at home. So, I decided to get a phone with an answerphone feature. I let all my friends and family know that if I’m in, I’ll answer as soon as I hear them start chatting. For anyone else like doctors or hospitals, I make sure to say they should ring me first, and then I’ll pick up. When those annoying callers hear the answerphone, they usually hang up straight away (and it costs them a bit too once the machine picks up). If you’re fed up of wasting time on these calls, seriously, investing in a phone with an answerphone is the easiest fix!
