Hi there! We’re on the same page as Naz and Christine regarding this whole situation-it feels like a massive scam. We've just sent our concerns to the Action Fraud online hotline, so it's probably best if we all step away from this now.

I received a call from someone claiming to be affiliated with the government, saying that the bank owed us more than £4000. They insisted we needed to fork out over £400 to have it released. The person on the line introduced herself as Antonty Dawson, but rather suspiciously, she mentioned she was connected to China. I must say, her tone was quite frantic, urging me to “for heaven’s sake, just listen, would you!” Quite the odd experience, I must admit!

Received a call from the number listed above, stating that I owe some money on our overdraft. I’m baffled as to how they even know about our account and why they have my phone number. It’s quite concerning! I’d suggest spreading the word to others to ensure they stay vigilant about these kinds of scams.

Listen up, folks! I implore you not to get taken in by this scam. Monooj and Jason are nothing but fraudsters. They gave us a bell earlier today, and honestly, it’s baffling how they try to spin things. The crux of the matter is, if money is supposed to be coming your way, why on earth would you fork out a so-called refundable fee? Just steer clear of any payments and, for heaven's sake, don’t divulge any personal details over the phone, no matter how legitimate they claim to be. Stay vigilant and don’t let these chancers catch you off guard!

I had the exact same encounter; this number, 02033189431, called me just a moment ago. I reckon we ought to give that number a bell and inquire about it with someone named Paul Moore. It's the same old ruse as with MoneyGram, where you fork out £386.00 and end up with absolutely nada in return. Quite the con, if you ask me!

We received a call from a number that displayed as ‘unavailable’, claiming we owed £4,481, similar to others who reported a sum of £486.00 as a refundable deposit. I’m inclined to think this might be a scam. The gentleman didn’t provide his name but mentioned that Senior Treasury Manager Paul Moore would ring us back after we filled out some forms! Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

Just wanted to drop this new number for you all: 007674921882. Had a right laugh having a bit of banter over the phone, taking the mickey, you know? It was a proper good time!

We recently received a call from a chap named Anthony Dawson working in the National Bank’s Reclaim department. The moment we probed about the oddity of needing to pay out cash in order to retrieve funds that rightfully belong to us, he instructed us to hang on while he provided some clarification over the phone. To be honest, we couldn’t be bothered with it; it sounded like a classic scam to us. Considering that the government is sitting on funds related to excessive bank fees, we find it hard to believe this would be the proper protocol for any reimbursement! We promptly ended the call without hesitation!

Received a rather dubious call claiming I was set to receive a hefty sum of £4,481. They wanted to know if I preferred it in cash or bank transfer. Sensing something was amiss, I opted for cash. They instructed me to pop down to the post office and then contact a chap named Jason Apps after arriving there. Apparently, I was supposed to request a MoneyGram sending form along with a reclaim form. The catch? They wanted me to fork out £386 first. I find it all highly suspicious and certainly won't be parting with my personal information to some random caller. It really makes one wonder how these scammers manage to get hold of our numbers in the first place. Something ought to be done about these cons!
