Got a call from some bloke claiming he was from Carphone Warehouse offering a deal on an iPhone 12 Pro, £35 a month for 24 months, with unlimited calls, texts, data, and 200 international minutes. Said I just needed to pay a £30 security deposit, which they'd give back after a month. I kept him on the line for more than half an hour, and he finished by calling me a muppet for messing him about.

Later I called back, the number's London area code, a woman picked up. I told her she called me, but she acted like she didn’t know anything about it. Definitely some kinda scam.
