Got a call from an Asian gentleman with a London dialling code. He talked right over me, trying to say the company name, but when I asked him to say it again, he just kept interrupting. Then he said I could end the call after a minute if I wasn’t interested, and tried to get me to answer some security questions. I refused four times and he just cut the call. We never really had a proper conversation, he just kept yammering at me. With all the stories here, best thing to do is just BLOCK THIS NUMBER!

I just got a call from this Byron bloke claiming to be from Black Pearl Claims over in Leeds, but there was loads of noise, like a busy bus stop in the background. He was mentioning something to do with bank accounts.

Got a call from some guy up North saying he was from Black Pearl, said I’d recently chatted with one of his mates about PPI. I get you’re just doing your bit, but seriously, when I say I’m not interested, just stop goin’ on. Now he’s blocked.

At first, nobody said anything, then someone asked if I wanted to claim PPI. I told them I wasn’t interested, then said no. They started swearing at me for wasting their time, which made me laugh. They hung up but called me back a few times just shouting abuse, so I ended up blocking the number.

Got a call from some company named "Blackpearl" saying they can help get fees back from packaged bank accounts, like the new ppi thing. Spent ages chatting to one guy, gave him all my info, then got bumped to someone else to "verify" my address, and had to repeat everything again. Total pain. Could hear cheering and clapping in the background, felt like one of those claims call centres. Trying to keep it polite, but they're definitely blocked now. TOTALLY POINTLESS!!!

On 12th April 2016, I got a call from someone claiming to be from Blackpool. The guy talked really fast and sounded quite chirpy. He said he was following up about my PPI claim, mentioning I’d spoken to a mate of his about it last week. I told him I’d never made any claim and just ended the call. I've blocked the number now.

My phone rang around 11.35 today and it was a woman with an Asian accent saying I could get a refund on my PPI. I quickly told her she was talking rubbish and then just switched my phone off.

Some bloke called himself "Marshall" and just would not stop talking - all about PPI claims or something. You could hear loads of clapping in the background, proper reminded me of that Wolf of Wall Street film. He said it was his boss's birthday or something, then as if on cue, I swear I saw a pig fly past. Honestly, best just to ignore calls like that.

pushy salespeople spouting rubbish, they listen just enough to spin another fib, all they want is your bank info. their only goal is to take your cash and they’ll say anything for it. just hold down on the number and your phone will block them. they used to run those fake scratchcard deals in the newspapers, you’d 'win' on every line but had to ring a premium number that cost £15, and the prize was useless holiday vouchers that were no good. they get really rude if you pretend to be interested just to waste their time.

they asked if i played the lottery and offered free tickets for 3 months, then wanted my bank info to start a direct debit. when i said it was an unwanted sales call and they were actually breaking the rules by ringing me, i mentioned that i’m on the tps. they replied that i’d just wasted their "ting time and said people like me should be -something not nice- on a public forum before hanging up. they’d been polite at first but quite pushy.
