I’m registered with the TPS and I didn’t quite get the company’s name, guess that’s why they were mumbling. They said someone at my address had been involved in a car crash - but I wasn’t sure if that was true. Once I asked “what?” I just ended the call right away.

Being registered with the Telephone Preference Service, I inquired where they obtained my information from. The response was somewhat vague, claiming it was from the "RTA department". I had no plans to divulge any personal details, yet when I pressed for more information, the lady, who introduced herself as "Elena", mentioned she was calling on behalf of Claims Law located at 14 Tottenham Court Road, London W1T 1JY. She didn’t clarify whether she was calling from London itself, nor did she offer any contact number for Claims Law before ultimately ending the call.

I’m genuinely curious about where these calls eventually land and which company takes these on, especially since I was under the impression that this kind of nonsense was on the decline!

Just had a rather dubious call from this number, claiming they were from the Road Traffic Accident department. They insisted I confirm the date of a so-called rear-end collision they believed I was involved in, and strangely enough, they wanted to ascertain that there were no injuries-despite the fact that there were! I made it quite clear that I had no intention of engaging with these ambulance chasers and promptly ended the conversation. Shortly thereafter, a chap called back, presenting himself as her supervisor, reiterating the need for information about the so-called accident and the supposed absence of injuries. I pressed him repeatedly-more than ten times, mind you-asking him to specify the date of this alleged incident if he really had a report, but lo and behold, he conveniently lacked that information. After a bit of back and forth, he finally terminated the call. I highly doubt he’ll be calling again. One must play them at their own game, wouldn’t you agree?

About 38 minutes ago my phone lit up but only briefly, like just a second or two. I use True Caller, which usually shows who's calling and blocks strange numbers automatically. I almost called back since I’m out of work at the moment, but something made me search the number on Google first. Reading this page and everyone’s posts really made me glad I didn’t pick up.
