I’m registered with the TPS and I didn’t quite get the company’s name, guess that’s why they were mumbling. They said someone at my address had been involved in a car crash - but I wasn’t sure if that was true. Once I asked “what?” I just ended the call right away.

Received a call today from this number, which was a surprise as they actually showed it instead of hiding it. The woman on the other end claimed someone living at my address might have been in a car accident, asking me to confirm. Since I'm registered with TPS, I questioned where they got my info. She said it was from the "RTA unit." I wasn’t going to share any details, but I did ask who she was, and she said her name was Elena and she worked for Claims Law, located at 14 Tottenham Court Road, London W1T 1JY. She wouldn’t say if she was calling from London or provide their contact number, and then she just hung up. Quite odd behaviour, I must say.

This number rang me, but as soon as I answered, the line just went silent. Thankfully, my landline has call barring, so I've blocked it now. The frustrating bit is these callers keep switching numbers, so you might end up getting bothered again sometime soon. Like a few others mentioned, these are those ambulance chasing types. I told the woman on the line I don’t even own a car! She wouldn’t back down though and asked who was involved in “the accident”. I just said, “you tell me.” Then she said she’d connect me to her manager to “help me out with the procedure.” After that, the call just dropped. Really curious where these calls get routed to, what kind of company handles this kinda thing. I thought all these calls were supposed to have stopped by now?

Just got a call from this number saying they'd been told by the Road Traffic department that I’d been involved in a crash from behind. They wanted me to say when it happened and if anyone was hurt, even though someone actually was! I said no thanks to their ambulance chasing nonsense and ended the call. Not long after, a bloke phoned back saying he was her boss and was checking the info about my ‘accident’ and confirming no injuries. I kept asking him over ten times for the accident date if he had a report, but he said he couldn’t see that info or something shady like that. He gave up and hung up. Doubt he'll try me again. Gotta play their tricks right back at ‘em!

About 38 minutes ago my phone lit up but only briefly, like just a second or two. I use True Caller, which usually shows who's calling and blocks strange numbers automatically. I almost called back since I’m out of work at the moment, but something made me search the number on Google first. Reading this page and everyone’s posts really made me glad I didn’t pick up. Honestly, these PPI scammers need to just disappear for good, they’re so annoying!
