10 yearsI received a rather perplexing call from an individual claiming to represent us in a matter concerning the refund of our Abbey Bank charges. They asserted that there was a sum of £2,300 awaiting us, albeit with the stipulation that we first part with £190 for their services. To add to our incredulity, they also mentioned a further £379 in VAT that we would need to cover. We simply can’t entertain such a notion! During this whole debacle, the person on the line, a rather insistent lady with an Indian accent named Shin, proved to be exceedingly bothersome. We’ve since wired the funds via MoneyGram to India, but I suspect there’s more to this than meets the eye. The number we need to call back is 02 80060453. Just thought I'd mention that we had a chat with Jon Watson, and his superior is Marvin Green. Can you believe that?Jon WatsonMarvin Green10 yearsJust received an identical nuisance call claiming the bank owes us around £3,000. The number this time is 0280033758. The caller went by the name Mark Davis, and they mentioned a manager called Shaun Foster. Exercise caution, everyone! We’ve contacted the relevant authorities and alerted the investigation division of our bank. It seems nobody can get a handle on these offshore crooks. Must be a bit tricky for them! Haha. I genuinely hope these folks have the guts to pay us a visit one day. Cheers!Mark DavisShaun Foster10 yearsI received a call from the number 02030261861, but oddly enough, I found myself speaking to someone using 02088197390 only the other day. When I attempted to reach them at about half ten this morning, the line was constantly busy. The chap on the other end introduced himself as Vipin Kumar, contrary to what they claimed as Michel Holdings. Quite the curious situation!Vipin KumarMichel Holdings11 yearsThose dodgy characters gave us a ring and, incredibly, we got sucked in. It’s all utter nonsense, so steer clear of this lot. Quite the peculiar situation, wouldn’t you agree?India12 yearsWe forwarded £190 to someone in India, using the mobile number 077571-17276.India12 yearsI’ve just experienced the same situation myself. I've reported it to the police in my area, and they advised that anyone who gets these calls should definitely reach out to them as well.12 yearsWe received a call from a bloke who insisted we get in touch with a chap named Richard Lee at the same number. As soon as we let them know we were onto their little scam and that she wasn’t affiliated with any government office, she suddenly got quite agitated!Richard Lee12 yearsI received a rather perplexing phone call from some individuals claiming they were representing us in a bid to reclaim Abbey Bank charges. They mentioned a sum of £2,300 supposedly waiting for us, but it came with a catch - we had to pay £190 upfront to access those funds. Just when I thought it couldn't get any more frustrating, they dropped the bombshell that an additional £379 for VAT was required as well. To put it mildly, I'm unable to cover such costs, especially since I’m currently out of work. The chap on the line had a rather foreign accent, and a woman named Sheena was also involved, making the whole experience rather irritating. I even sent a MoneyGram to India, but I’m left wondering who these people actually are. If anyone has any information, please do get in touch with David Swift on 077571-17276. We’ve been in conversation with Jon Watson, and it appears his superior is Marvin Green (no joke!).Jon WatsonMarvin Green12 yearsI recently received a rather suspicious phone call from someone claiming to be associated with a company called Bank Reclaim Experts. This chap insisted that we were due a refund of £3,114 due to excessive bank charges. All they needed was a payment of £314 to facilitate the transfer of funds into our bank account. The bloke had a thick foreign accent and went by the amusing name of Steve Thomas, which really raised my eyebrows. Honestly, it's quite comical, isn't it? In any case, I urge everyone to exercise caution with individuals asking for money; do not provide any personal information. It's definitely a scam, without a doubt...Bank Reclaim ExpertsSteve Thomas13 yearsWe've recently encountered an identical situation. The individual on the line is getting quite irate with us for not handing over any information! They claimed we're entitled to $3114, and all we need to do is fork out a mere £50, insisting that we’ll get it back! Do these people really think I’m that gullible? They mentioned we could retrieve this money at the post office, specifically at the Western Union counter?! The number they gave us is 02 90370241. They profess to work for the Australian government, yet couldn’t divulge a single detail further. Please, don’t fall for this charade!Western UnionSubmit Your Own Report (020 3026 1861)
