I replied, “Well, it’s only fair you understand how it feels to have your time wasted!” This prompted him to start hurling profanities at me over the phone, to which I calmly responded, "I trust this call is being recorded." Shortly after, he ended the call on his side. Throughout the conversation, I maintained a courteous demeanour, offering no responses beyond a simple "Go on" whenever he pressed for answers.

I received a call from someone purporting to be the police from Greater Manchester. Definitely raised a few red flags! I've already contacted the actual police to inform them about this dodgy number. The caller’s number was 02030212311.

I’ve never been called that by a stranger, especially someone clearly intent on persuading me about something. As he continued, his speech speed was astonishing and, frankly, quite overwhelming. When he mentioned a 'motor vehicle incident' I supposedly had a hand in, I was a bit taken aback-I’ve not been in any incident that I know of! As I attempted to clarify my situation, he just talked over me as if I hadn’t uttered a word at all. It got to a point where I had to firmly tell him to “stop and actually listen”! He persisted in calling me 'V', despite my request not to, and even had the audacity to ask me 'why not?' He then proceeded to come up with various silly variations of my name-'VeVe', 'VeeVee'-and chuckled away like it was some sort of joke! What a charmer, right? When I reiterated my lack of involvement in any alleged incident, he then asked about the make and model of my car-wait a minute, how did he even know that? It felt quite unsettling! I promptly ended the call. I'm baffled as to how he obtained my information, including my mobile number. What an incredibly frustrating and unprofessional experience! I didn’t even catch his name, he spoke so quickly!

I’m at my wits’ end with these incessant phone calls! The last time my phone rang, I could hear them blathering on about some chap who’d been “played” by a lass named Alex from Manchester, completely unaware that I was on the line! I spent a good two minutes shouting ‘HELLO!’ into the receiver before they abruptly cut off. Clearly, I must be a priority for their riveting discussions! What on earth will it take for them to leave me in peace?
