This is definitely a con. My mum fell for it once, they said they had a cracking offer on a new policy for her washing machine for 3 years. I had a rather peculiar experience this evening at around 8pm when I received a call on my mobile. A robotic voice greeted me, claiming to represent Domestic and General, expressing their apologies for missing my call. The catch? I hadn't even reached out to them! Received a call claiming to be from Domestic & General on 14/7, and they said they'd ring me back on 20/7. I missed their call that day, so I phoned Domestic & General using their official Customer Service number. They confirmed the number was theirs, but nothing showed up on their system about it. Been getting calls from this number, but no one ever speaks when I pick up. After checking online, I think it might be D&G Insurance - we already have a policy with them, so I'm not keen on getting another one!

Just like others said, he already knew I'd got an oven. Refused to send anything through the post. Then he wanted my bank details, including sort code! I told him, since he wouldn't send the paperwork by post, I was ending the call, and I did. He also gave me a heads up not to share my card info over the phone!

I didn't answer, let it ring till the answerphone kicked in, then they just hung up. After that, I looked them up here and decided to mark it as junk.

I got a call from a bloke with a Scottish accent who was pushing insurance for my fridge freezer. Weirdly, he knew the brand and said it was close to going past its original warranty. They gave me a monthly cost, so I had to work out what it’d be for the year. In the end, it didn’t really seem like good value to me.

Everytime these bloody TIME WASTERS ring, I just let it ring out or put the phone down right after answering. If it's really D & G calling, I dont get why they bother since Ive already got a policy with them. And if it’s not really them, why on earth do they allow SCAMMERS to use their numbers like that?! It’s just ridiculous!!!
