They phoned me claiming to be from Microsoft and told me my PC was full of harmful files. I played along for a bit, then they tried to prove they were legit by getting me to pull up a number on my computer and read it out. But honestly, it’s the same number everyone sees with them. Don’t fall for it. Best thing is to just hang up and ring Microsoft support directly if you’re worried.

Got a call from some lot claiming to be from the TPS, but I wasn’t fooled. I went along with it, feeding them a bunch of rubbish info. Got a call at 17:40 today from some marketing place, not the TPS people though. They asked for the expiry date and some valid date, and somehow guessed them right. Then they asked if it was 2015, I said maybe, and they suddenly got angry saying it has to be exact. When I asked why they wanted card info, they said they weren’t after the card number, just the expiry date. Seemed fishy to me.

Got a call from this number earlier today, they kept asking for my card info and other stuff. After a few minutes of their questions, I said I was a bit wary and would call back later. They gave me the number 08712700039 to ring, but obviously I didn’t bother. Then about an hour later, they called again, this time from 02030191569. I straight up told them it was a scam and to leave me alone. No more calls since then.

Just like before, that awkward pause for a few secs while their system tries to bombard you with nonsense. I was back watching some tennis, which usually gets stopped by the rain! They rang me twice in under 2 hours!

Got a call from "Telephone Preference #Monitoring#" (noticed the subtle change!). She wanted me to verify my name and address (which I foolishly did) then asked if I pay my phone bills via direct debit (I said yes, but asked what that had to do with anything). Do you reckon this could be a scam? I didn't give out anything new, just confirmed info they probably already had. Not sure what harm they could do with that.

So we got this new phone about 4 days back, and I left a comment then. Since the first day, we've been getting calls non stop, almost 10 to 15 times daily, except on Sunday. Luckily, we just got the BT 8500 with the call guardian feature and it’s been a real lifesaver blocking those annoying calls.

Got a call earlier claiming to be from TPS, and they already had my name, address, and how I pay my phone bill. They then asked me to confirm my credit card expiry date, but they got it wrong. When I told them if they were really from TPS they shouldn't be asking about my card, they just hung up!

Got a call earlier from someone saying they were from 'Telephone Preference Management', they even knew my name. They asked if I was still getting loads of annoying calls, so I said, "You mean like the one you're making right now?" They just hung up straight away.

For ages now, this number keeps ringing an elderly lady, who’s 95, with just silence on the other end. Then they follow up saying they can stop the calls... for a fee! Honestly, how desperate do you have to be to scam like that? Her son finally picked up the phone last time and let’s just say he wasn’t too pleased. Please, if you can, report these creeps to Ofcom. Spending a few mins doing that could really help stop these dodgy folks from bothering the old and vulnerable.

If you’re getting calls from this number too, you should report them as well. They usually don’t bother replying to just one complaint, but if they get a load about the same number, they might actually do something.

The number showed a London area code, but it sounded like some call centre based in India. They claimed they could stop all annoying calls “for my entire life.” I told them no one could guarantee something like that, and then they started to get all frantic, repeatedly saying “just listen, just listen” in a kind of desperate rush. I told them I was hanging up and then ended the call straight away.

Got a call from some woman pretending to be from the Telephone Preference Service. She knew my name and asked if I was getting nuisance calls. I said yes, and that she was one of them. Then she just said "you think so?" and ended the call. Just another number added to my call blocker list. Honestly, I wish there was a way to stop these annoying people for good.

I’ve just set up my shiny new BT call blocker and lo and behold, this number decided to give me a bell not once but twice, spaced out by about an hour and twenty minutes. Got a call from 0203 019 1569, bloke with an Asian accent and there were office sounds in the back, sounded like a recording. Asked for a name I’ve never heard of. This is the eleventh different 0203 number that’s been ringing me every Thursday for the past eleven weeks. Honestly, someone needs to put an end to these idiots. When I told the guy to stop calling me, he just coolly replied, “**** you.” Lovely chap.

We keep getting calls from this number like 3 times every day. Luckily, we have one of those call blocker things, so the calls never actually come through. It’s really frustrating though because we’re expecting calls from the health service about an old lady we care for, and since we don’t have their number, we have to pick through all the unknown callers just in case it’s them.

Got a call from this number earlier. A bloke said he was from TPS asking if I was still getting annoying calls. Thing is, he called me by the wrong first name instead of my surname, which was a bit fishy. I told him I didn’t really trust he was from TPS and he said if he was a fraudster, he’d be more pushy, plus couldn't I tell from his calm and friendly voice? I just ended the call.
