An Indian chap going by the name Mark tried to persuade us to establish a remote connection using something called 'letmein.' He claimed he could enhance our internet speed! What a cheek!

On Friday, the 11th of December, we received a call from "Mark" who shared some rather unoriginal details about our Microsoft connection being sluggish. He nearly had us fooled, and now we keep getting these calls (which we consistently ignore) quite frequently. I’m wondering if anyone has any legal recommendations on how to put an end to this nuisance?

On the afternoon of the 23rd of December, there was this bloke, Mark, with a rather thick foreign accent, still going on about something. Is he planning to take a breather over Christmas? He left a message on our answering machine, and bless her heart, my wife-such a sweet, innocent soul-thought we’d be desperate to get back to him. Not a chance!

Earlier today, Mark gave us a bell, echoing what countless others have reported. He stated that he had received a notification from the servers indicating that our internet speed was lagging. The moment we probed about the origin of the call, he casually mentioned something regarding Microsoft. Being employed in the web services sector ourselves, we’re fully aware of what our internet speed entails and the reasons behind any issues, which made us quite suspicious of his intentions. Nonetheless, he did leave us a number to call back should we encounter any difficulties. It appears there's quite a wave of calls being made to people by the same bunch.

On the afternoon of 23rd December, that chap "Mark," who speaks with quite a pronounced foreign accent, was still at it. One wonders if he’ll take a breather over the Christmas period. There was a message left on our answering machine, which my wife, bless her heart, took to heart and thought we ought to respond to posthaste. Absolutely not!

I received a call from a chap named Mark who spoke with a foreign accent. He left a rather urgent message on our answering machine, requesting a return call. It goes without saying that he's still hanging on for a response. I urge everyone to be wary and not fall prey to yet another scam attempt!

I've been keeping an eye on this discussion ever since our previous exchange. It appears that all the connections have been made via phone, and they all seem to be Wilsons. It's almost as if Mark is working his way through the phone directory! Is anyone here by any chance based in the Blackpool or Fylde area of the UK?

Apologies for the mix-up, it was actually on Friday, the 4th of December that she called. I seem to be jumping ahead in my calendar! We’re still receiving calls, though. Just earlier today, there was one from an 0080 number, but unfortunately, I didn’t catch the entire thing.

Regrettably, I've lost track of things-she called on Friday, the fourth of December. I seem to be getting a bit ahead of myself with the dates. Although we still get calls, earlier today she rang from the 0080 number (I don’t have the complete number on hand).

Blimey, this gave me serious vibes reminiscent of "The Adventure of the Red-Headed League" featuring Sherlock Holmes! I'm a Wilson by name, and we received a voicemail from someone called "Mark." He had quite the pronounced foreign accent and seemed rather keen for us to return the call to that very same number. Seems like a dodgy phishing attempt, I reckon!

Without a doubt, this seems like an assault on the Wilsons. Today, we received a message from someone named "Mark." We're located in the Midlands, and it's clearly a scam. There's no way we're returning their call!

We strongly encourage anyone receiving a call from this number to dig a little deeper into what these individuals are up to and then reach out to the authorities. We've taken that step ourselves, and it appears these folks are compiling information with the intention of addressing the situation. So, the more intel that can be collected and shared, the more effective this will be. Additionally, spreading awareness about their activities could save others from potential trouble.
